How often do you wash or change out your brush and/or comb?

i just did a client's hair and she informed me that she has never washed her brush that she's had for over 20 years (i'm totally disgusted).

i wash mine at home at least once a month and at work i clean and disinfect everything after each use.

i was wondering how often you do it.

Just like you, I do it once a month. Also, when I wash it, I take a safety pin and pull all the hair in the brush out. I am happy to hear that you disinfect everything you use!!!

I put my hairbrush and comb in the dishwasher about once a month then let them air dry. I also pick out the hair tangled in them about once every two weeks.

At home I thoroughly wash my brush about once a week.. I get all paranoid about it otherwise.
