I have a 4 month old Pekingese with lots of hair shedding?

I have taken him to get groomed but I still have balls of hair everywhere in my home. I also bought a special brush for this problem and still no hope. I'm thinking maybe allergies.....Anyone with this broblem?????

Usually a dog doesn't have it's major shedding until AFTER the 1st year.

Your peke is only 4 mths. old, a puppy.

I would suspect an allergy of some sort, whether it be food or enviromental (something in house).

Try changing his diet for 3 wks. or so and maybe adding little olive oil in it twice a wk.

The excessive shedding is probably due to the changing of the seasons!! Usually, when you have a dog that is a normal shedder, it will shed more when the seasons change! I hope this helps!!

i also have a pekingese... and it was also shedding a lot the first time i got it... the best thing to do... is to shave it completely once.. it should get better after that... it worked for my puppy...hope it works for yours too!
