My hair clumps!?

I have this problem with my hair seperating itself into clumps within about an hour of being brushed. I have thick(meaning a LOT of) fine hair. It is stick straight. Even if I use volumizing products, which help some,my hair still gives me this problem. I really like my hair right after it has been brushed, but about an hour after brushing it has clumped up and it looks 10x worse :(. What is something I can do to get rid of these clumps? Is there something I am doing wrong?

My hair clumps!?

try to not use hair products except for shampoo and conditioner... then see what happens... sometimes overuse of hair products make it worse..

how bout changing shampoos? maybe using a more expensive, albeit quality one?

My hair clumps!?

Don't use a volumizing product if you have thick hair. That will make it worse. Why don't you try a leave in conditioner (salon style). It will soften it up.

the blow dryer could still be drying it out and damaging it, with is why it tangles so easily. actually the dryer could be making your hair extra oily cuz it completely dries out your hair when you use it and then your scalp goes into over production mode trying to quickly replace all the oils that were stripped off.

get a shampoo for damaged hair and lay of the blow dryer.

Stop using dryer. It will help u a lot. You can also use heena. Mix heena with pre boiled water. Ask someone to help u to put it on ur hair like we use hair dye. Keep for one hour and then wash. Message your hair with some gud oil. Wash with the sampoo the next day. Hope u will have nice hairs

Do you mean you hair is getting tangeled when ever you say "clumps"? It is very possible that you have dead ends, because when every your ends split and get dry, it all just grabs on to eachother. And just because your hair gets oily sometimes doesn't mean that your hair isn't dry. That oil isn't coming from your hair...it's coming from the pores in your scalp...just like there are pores on your face.

What you need first of all is a trim. Next, you need to start using a deep conditioner on only your ends in the shower. Next, before you blowdry, use a hair serum by Frizz Ease. But use the "light" formula. It's for people with fine hair. It'll be great and protect your hair. Good luck!!
