If you're using a brush that has metal back, then you should probably switch to one with natural bristles.

Also, if your hair is still static-y, you can rub a dryer sheet in it.

lightly (LIGHTLY!) spray your hair brush first with hair spray. Also a little (LITTLE) hair serum after your hair is dry, rubbed between your hands and smoothed over your hair should work. I say lightly and little in caps because too much and you can have a greasy look. Also the hair serum, it can be any kind it is just something to smooth the hair and make it not want to catch static. Do not use it near the roots. Just about a good two inches away on your hair. Less is more, you can always work a little more in if you need.

hair spray works great on static electricity. You could try mouse or gel also. Also there is a product out there for static electricity called Static Guard it is in a blue and orange spray container but it smells kind of bad.

that happens to me this time a year and what i do is use a different brush and when i get out of the shower i start to blowdry my hair and once its dry i straiten it

I've got static hair too, and here's my plan of action: after I wash and condition my hair with Herbal Essence for dry hair, I comb through some water-based hair gel (not alcohol-based). Then I attack with a large-barrel curling tong (straighteners work too, but not for my hair!) and no amount of autumn weather or brushing can mess with my hair after that! :-)

The best thing to use for your hair if it is going static is Fudge 1 shot you just spray on your hair and then bam u style and then it is great the best stuff you can get it off hq hair .com it is about 10 pounds but i would not live with out it
