How do you sleep in old fashioned plastic Brush type Rollers with pins?

My heated rollers are broken and i have used some of my Grans old fashioned Plastic brush type rollers and setting lotion to curl up my damp hair as my hair needs to be curly in the morning

Can some of the older women give me some advice on how

to sleep in them? I have tied a net around them But It still feels as if a hedgehog is lying on the top of my head.

Dry your hair before you go to bed. Use a dryer if necessary. Take out the rollers. Your hair should do just fine in the morning.

My mom used to wrap some tissue around the curler before putting in my hair. The tissue was similiar to what they used for perms. Also, make sure you don't have the pins pointing down rather have them pointing sideways through the curler. I know for a fact this is less painful as that is how I use them now.
