HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

I took a bath and I used some bath bom and the water is chlorinated up there, so when I got out my hair was super gummy and I couldn't run my fingers, or a brush through it!!! I've washed it in my unclorinated shower three times using special shampoo for clorinated hair and it wasn't working!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit--A few days later--

So, how's your hair? Did anybody's advice work?

Wash you hair again with the special shampoo you spoke about. Lather and rinse three or more times. Now, every time you lather your hair with the shampoo, take your brush and try to brush through your hair. You might have to start out brushing only small portions of your hair at a time.

When you are finished, use some conditioner a few times.

Once you have completed this, take some vinegar, yes, vinegar, and rinse your hair with it. ( You can pour some vinegar into a small bucket, or something of the like, and dilute the vinegar with some water, and then soak your head in the mixture. )

Don't get scared off by the vinegar. My mother has beautiful hair, (she's always getting complements), and she has never done anything with her hair, except use vinegar. Her hair color is beautiful...

Hope this helps. Tell us how you got along!

try lots and lots of conditioner.

the water is 'hard' so thats why its all gummy.

SAD!! call a local plumber and also go to a salon

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

umm try a clarifying shampoo or get a good spray detangler and comb it in small sections

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

Try the no more tangles type products that are made for children. Spray in and gently work through hair then try using a large tooth comb to begin getting the tangles and gumminess out.

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

try this:

fill a tub with hot water and a whole bottle of a detangling conditioner. mix it up put your hair in it for half an hour. then rinse. you may get a stiff neck but it should work

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

stop washing it! you you taking away natural oils the hair needs.i say, wait say,2 days, then wash with destilled water?then go for a deep conditionig treatment-hhotoil or something strong like this!

i know you feel bas and want some thing for RIGHT NOW.but i think you will neeed to wait.just wear it in a pony tale and do not expose to sun at all!!!!

pantene....

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

wash it agian. but leave the conditioner in for lke 5 minutes.

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

it's ok, use conditioner and rinse it with warm water, then( i know this sounds crazy) get a teaspoon of honey(2 teaspoons if your hair is thick) and rub that in and rinse until it's no longer sticky. Then once again rub in conditioner and use a tablespoon of lemon juice....rinse.... then BLOW DRY, not towel dry, until your hair is nice and smooth... then comb through it gently.... no worries!!! GL!!(good luck)

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

I have this same problem. What I do is I have detangler on hand 24/7. and just comb it through BEFORE you get in the shower if there are still some tangles before you get in the shower just run some conditioner through you hair to get those out too. Oh and if those fancy shampoos that are supposed to help with this kind of hair are expensive don't worry about buying those...the normal shampoos do the same thing.

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

Use a deep conditioner, call the plumber, and go to the salon.

Oh, been there!

Make a paste with some Borax and use it as a mask on your hair. Let it sit for at least an hour, and then rinse, wash and condition.

Your hair is gummy due to the hard water. The Borax will attach onto those minerals and remove them when you rinse it out.

Shave it all off and start over. You might even LOVE beiNg bald!

HAIR PROBLEMS!!!! -- No stupid answers please!?

to wash out all the gummy you regular dish soap from the kitchen such as dawm then shampoo and condition like norman
