Mad Curly Hair Alert!?

I have incredibly curly frizzy hair, which falls really well when I wash and condition it, in perfect ringlets. But the moment I brush it, it gets frizzy so I have no choice but to wear my hair in a bun all week, as it looks awful even in a ponytail.

Could someone please help? Which is the best conditioner out there for curly hair? Something which will tame my hair ... I currently use Dove Shampoo and Conditioner and Samy leave in.

Help!!!

Mad Curly Hair Alert!?

I have learned to not touch my hair very much and definitely do not brush it. I cannot remember the last time I took a brush to my hair. I use a curl balm (kind of like lotion) on the end and finger it through and finish with some mousse to hold the curl, scrunch, air dry and done. I am giving you a link to a site for curly hair girls like us, lots of great tips on there too.

instead of brushing it with a brush, use your fingers and pull them through your hair as a substitute hairbrush.

My sisters hair is identical. Use a wide tooth comb after you wash it and let it dry naturally. It will have fewer tangles and still retain it's post wash perfection. Do not brush or comb it while dry. If you need to comb it, spritz it with water first.

Use a comb with wide gaps, if you're going to use your hands make sure you wash them...hair gets gross if you don't wash your hands when you're handling it. I use biolage conditioner, it does wonders for curly hair, but it's probably a bit pricy for most.

OKAY...SOUNDS LIKE WE HAVE THE SAME HAIR. I RECOMMEND SUNSILK ANTI-POOF SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. IF YOU GO TO STARTSAMPLING.COM YOU CAN SCORE A FREE SAMPLE. ALSO, IF YOUR HAIR GETS FRIZZY AFTER IT DRIES, YOU CAN PUT A DIME SIZE AMOUNT OF BIOSILK SILK THERAPY ON YOUR HANDS AND RUN THEM THROUGH YOUR HAIR.

I wouldn't brush it when its dry. There's no need to. If it clumps in ringlets then why mess with it? I'm sure your hair is beautiful. Here is an article about curly hair products: http://www.askastylist.info/tex1.htm

I have very similar hair, and have learned some good techniques to help take care of it:

~Brush or comb your hair in the shower (you can comb the conditioner through it), and do not brush it at all after you get out. This will help your curls stay together and be less frizzy

~Frizz ease products work very well, and also Aveda "be curly"

~Put the product in and let your hair dry naturally

~It's better to wash your hair during the day and not right before bed so that your curls dry naturally, and not while you are sleeping (so you dont have icky bed hair curls)

~Get a layered hair style so that the ends of your hair do not get weighed down, and your hair doesnt have a triangular shape

~garnier fructis conditioner works very well (and smells great!)

Good luck! At first i always wanted straight hair, but have learned to love my curly hair. So be proud of it!!

y fight the perfectly wonderful head of hair God gave u. Alot of people pay big bucks to get your hair and it never looks natural anyway the problem u r having is the brushing it, don't and it will not frizz go with it. Nexxus makes the best leave in conditioner and it doesn't leave it wet which i can't stand the wet curly look

Dove shampoo is mainly for fine hair is what i thought?? Y wear your hair in a bun are u ashamed of your hair?? you really ought to wear it down and show it off and DO NOT brush it!!

I have a friend with hair like yours, just don't brush it %26amp; finger comb GENTLY instead to aviod frizziness. Also, use HErbal Essences Curl Enhancing line of products... they work miracles for her! Hope this helps.

If you have curly hair do not brush after it dries, bad, bad, bad. When you wash it, try frizz ease extra strength serum, a good mousse comb it through and then let you hair dry naturally. I have naturally wavy hair with some curl and when I wear it curly this is what I do. However, you cannot brush curly hair after it dries. If you do frizz is what you will get every time, I don't care what product you use.
