PIG TAILS

no im kidding

seeing as your a guy you might just want to get your bangs (or any longer hair around your head) trimmed a little

i know a kid that had that type of hair and he just got it cut and you can barely tell he had curly hair

you might want to try using a different shampoo too

What is good hair styles 4 curly/wavy people?

my cousin wears an afro

What is good hair styles 4 curly/wavy people?

curly is better but not to long

What is good hair styles 4 curly/wavy people?

have it cut 1 inch to 2 in lenth all over if youare boy. then just use a lift and do it that way. if you are girl you can do the same way or have it 3 inches long it will llok good and not much to do with it unless you want ot use combs for the hair on the sides.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I have thin hair, and I am afraid it is falling out faster than it should. The thing is, I have fairly long hair, so when my hair falls out I think it might just be that its more noticable (it gets tangle in the brush easier). I probably notice it more as it gets long (I once had my hair REALLY short). I also have dandruff problems. I help the dandruff by occassionally rinsing my hair with shampoo, then putting shampoo in again and leaving it in for a while, then washing it out. It really helps!

I want to know what else I can do to prevent my hair from thinning (if it is), or to maybe make it thicker and fuller. And what else I can do to prevent dandruff. Without damaging my hair! (I am proud of my hair!)

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Use V05 hair Shampoo and dandruff remover.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

You need proper hair care for that read some hair care tips and articles on this site

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

you need a good multi vitamin or maybe a prenatal

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

i have thin hair too and all u have to do is use the head and shoulders dandruff shampoo because it does work because this guy gave me dandruff so i used it. it'll work and u can that trick thing with leaving the shampoo in. also i have a way to make ur hair smoother and shiner! ^ ^

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Olive Oil. Truly, I'm not making this up. Once a week, coat your hair in olive oil until it is positively googy. Wrap it in a towel and go to bed, in the morning shampoo the oil out. To help with tangles take a spray bottle and spritz a tiny bit of oil on the tangle. Key word here is tiny. Also, use a comb (not a brush) on wet hair. Start at the ends of your hair to gently work out tangles. Hope this is useful.

As yuki as it might sound, lemon will help you get rid of the dandruff. What you have to do is cut up a fresh lemon, and rub it in your hair by parting it. Let it stay in your hair for 30 minutes and then wash it. Repeat this till you see it helping. And another thing, when you're going to stay home, message your scalp with baby oil, that way the acid in lemon would not damage your hair, and would be a good remedy.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Dandruff can be from different reasons.

One could be dry flaky skin, but I do not believe this is your problem. Leaving shampoo on your head would probably aggravate this condition. Since you said it helps I believe you may have a build -up on your scalp from styling products.

Use a clarifying shampoo for 3 days, then your regular shampoo after wards, but use clarifier at least 1 a week.

You may want to change your styling products. I always suggest Paul Mitchell products because they leave no build-up.

To help with thinning; DO NOT use a brush when your hair is wet, always use a pick or wide tooth comb and always start at the ends of your hair working your way up to the scalp, also section hair, smaller sections less tangles.Only when the hair is completely dry should you use a brush, and then I suggest a vent brush.

I don't know your age, but I recently read that sometimes loss of hair can be caused by a medical condition. You may want to see a dermatologist just to make sure.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

spend the money and go see a dermatologist, he will answer all your questions and be right

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I hope this helps you but yeah, have a look at my say.

Well the results of hair falling could be your hair is too long.

Because when your hair grows really long, the minerals from the roots of your hair that helps keep your hair wavy and alive, doesn't have the strength to reach down that low to the tip of your hair.

And I personally once had alot of dan druff, but I just used those kinds of shampoo that were made for dandruff.

So basically my tips for -

Hair falling - Keep your hair in a fair length, not so long that it'd hang all the way down your back. Keep it maybe 2 or 3 inches beneath your shoulder. It won't look so bad :-)

Dandruff - Wash your hair with dandruff shampoo.

But not every single time though, maybe the first day use dandruff shampoo, second day use regular, and so on.

It'll help, it worked fine for me :-)

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

every 40 days cut a little last part of ur hair n always drink lots of water n use a wooden comb to comb ur hair with ... try to use the brush a little

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Well, I'll advice u to definately change ur shampoo first of all! Also, u should start using natral hair care products they're way better than the other ones! Um, try to wash your hair everyday or everyweek, and please please, wrap it before you go to sleep! If these hepls, write me back, or if u need more tips, u could ask me, or ur hair stylists!

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I like Nizoral, expensive but it works. Condition well. The right cut can add thickness and body. Also eat well and take care of your body in general. If it seems like you have a more serious problem a good dermatologist can be helpful.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

use a wash made of rosemary water.

ROSEMARY WATER

How to make rosemary water:

4 cups water

1 cup dried rosemary

First you must have a sterile earthware pot or a enamel pot. Anything else will cause the rinse to become harmful. So bring water to a boil using your enamel or earthware pot. Once its boiling and ready add your dried herb. Let it steep for about 10-15mins. Strain herb out. Set water aside to cool. Once cooled, bottle in clean and dried glass container. Store in a cool place. Use when ever you wish to get rid of dandruf. Not only will it get rid of dandruf and keep it away but it will also keep your hair smelling great.

DAMAGED HAIR

You can use mayo, yes as in mayo for sandwiches. Use it when going to bed. Wrap your hair with wrap and in the morning rise it out. Infusions of olive oil work too. If your too lazy to make it go to your local store and buy oil conditioners and use as directed.

Ps. Rosemary might dry out your hair if you use too much. Use twice a week. Add rose oil and mint to help with damaged hair.

Really Thick Hair On Face Normal?

Ok here's another question for today. Sometimes when I shave I notice what looks like an in grown hair almost. They are always standing out. Usually darker than the rest and very thick, (example like a bristle from a Hair Brush with Boars Hair) . When I pull it out with a tweezer it has puss on it too. It happens a couple times a month. A while back I had a cyst on my neck that had to be removed with minor surgery that was caused by a "major staph infection" thats what I was told. I was given a lot of pills to take for 2 weeks. And the hairs started shortly after that.

My question is, is the really thick hair and puss just a normal in grown hair? I am in the Navy and don't want to go to the doc for something that is nothing. But if it could be staph still I would like opinions from people please.

Really Thick Hair On Face Normal?

My husband gets these on the back of his neck and believe it or not, his knuckles. Strange Huh?

I got him a scrubbing glove from the Beauty section at Walmart, and as long as he uses it thoroughly on his neck, face and knuckles. He has no problem.

CUT IT AND CONDISHINER LOTS!!!

Help with damange hair to fix ti to make it better .?

Use Horse%26amp; Mane Conditioner...You can find it in any shampoo product aisle at any drug store or at Walmart, Kmart,etc...It is a very thick conditioner that works great...Also, you might consider an Alberto V05 hot oil treatment...It is very simple to use, and I had some pretty bad hair due to lots of perms....This helped my hair alot and made it very shiny...I wouldn't use a hairbrush on wet hair when combing it out..I would use a very wide toothed comb, or even a pick...With thin hair, the less you pull out with tangles, the better....

Help with damange hair to fix ti to make it better .?

Wow...

1st- dont dye it anymore!!!! NO NO NO

2nd- You will def. need a hair cut..NOT TRIM..A CUT!!

3rd- You need to condition your hair after everytime you wash...deep condition- meaning leave it on for a hour or more

4th- Use a wide tooth comb at all times!!!

5th- lay off the heat (flat iron, blow dryer...)

6th- protein treatments!!!!!!

Hope this helps!!

Help with damange hair to fix ti to make it better .?

Try Pantene Pro V, they have this product that fixes 3 months of damages in 3 minutes, (i forget the name of the actual product) but its like a conditioner, It works really well because I dye my hair all the time. Also when you get out try using the Dove heat protective spray if you blow dry your hair at all or use a straightener. If you do blow dry your hair make sure its been towel dried for at least 15 minutes before blow drying. Also use a wide-tooth comb to brush your hair, it will reduce the breakage. Also try taking PreNatal Vitamins, it makes your hair shiny and stronger, and also works really great with your nails too. Hope this helps!

Why is my hair so estatic?

My hair is always very estatic, and when i brush it it looks horrible because its just estatic everywhere. Its always more estatic when ive just washed my hair. How can i stop this? thanks.

Why is my hair so estatic?

you can use sunslik anti-poof

buy the whole set

shampoo.coditoner and leave in

it works

Why is my hair so estatic?

maybe you're just an overly happy person.....

p.s. just kidding...you meant static...not estatic

Why is my hair so estatic?

Your hair must be smooth .

Why is my hair so estatic?

I'm guessing you meant that your hair has a lot of static.

Believe it or not you can buy yourself a can of Static Guard Spray, about $4. It says that it's for getting static out of clothes, but you can also spray it on your hairbrush, and then run it through your hair.

I have super fine, super straight hair that also gets a lot of static in it...especially in the winter time. I swear by Static Guard. It will not put any weird scent onto your hair either so give it a try!

Why is my hair so estatic?

i have exactly the same problem! what you need is a thick leave-in conditioner, best to be one made for long hair... just rub it in all over your hair and then brush it through. it should make it a lot less static.

it worked for me so i hope it works for you too!

Why is my hair so estatic?

It's because it's dry outside. You need a hair cream to smooth it down. Try www.redkenonline.com or www.renefurtereronline.com

Good luck

Why is my hair so estatic?

Hi sweetie,

I use citra shine, hair laminator, in works

How can i be scene without the hair and makeup?

i mean i LOVE scene hair and makeup but it takes too long for me to brush out the knots at night and my hair goes flat once i get to school

how come you say you're not trying

to be scene, yet you ask how can i

be SCENE without the hair and makeup,

where can i get clothes like SCENE kids,

and what are some bands that SCENE kids

are into. you must be trying really hard to be

scene if you're willing to change your whole taste

in music just to try to be scene :

How can i be scene without the hair and makeup?

|Why dont you just try what makes you happy. Use the components of being a scene kid that you like and work for you, and then add your own TRULY UNIQUE touches to it. There is nothing unique about looking like everyone else.

How can i be scene without the hair and makeup?

i dont think you can be considered scene without the hair and makeup. but anyway, you could wear skinny jeans(if you have the body for it, other wise please don't), sweaters um... flats and skirts wit leggings(?)

How can i be scene without the hair and makeup?

the hair and makeup is mostly what makes people scene. but for like scene clothes you can go to tillys, or any girly store. bands that scene kids are into are maybe liferuiner, job for a cowboy, sky eats airplane, saosin, circa survive, suicide silence...and more..

How can i be scene without the hair and makeup?

being scene is all about the music really, the hair and makeup and wardrobe just help people stereotype you.

How can i be scene without the hair and makeup?

Try buffalo exchange, vintage shops.

For bands try :

+ as blood runs black

+ escape the fate

+ i am ghost

+ job for a cowboy

+ norma jean

Oh and get into speed

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

I have a Husky/Collie, and he is 10 weeks old and already getting hair all over the place. I bought a brush for him, its one of the metal brushes with angled bristles. Everytime I try to brush him he fights with me. I don't know if the bristles hurt him or if he just doesn't like being brushed. Is there a way that I could trick him into letting me brush him, or a brush that won't hurt him?

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

wot u realy need is a metal comb, this doesnt hurt my puppy at all, u need to brush them regulary so they get used to it. we did with my dog and now he lies still and doesnt mind being brushed, he just loves the attention!!!

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

scurb a dub

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

he isnt used to it. you have to give him treats, and coax him into liking it. the brisles are prob a lil hard on him, maybe just use a bruch with sturdy teeth till he gets a tad older.

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

make sure that you have the right brush, as you mentioned. A store clerk can tell you for sure.

When i had my superpoofy cat, he HATED being brushed, so i had my friend distract him while i brushed him.

Don't go too hard, but also don't let him "control" you. He needs to be brushed and you have to be firm when you decide you're going to brush him. Letting him get away or letting him get angry at you will tell him that he can do what he wants.

Just be firm, don't give up, and eventually he'll stop resisting you. It may suck for a while, but you have to make sure he knows you're seriuos!

Good luck!

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

just be gentle and talk to your husky/collie dog i have a collie dog also and a t first she did not like it. i also gave her special treats while and after i brushed her.

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

buy 2 brushes give him one to chew on and use the other brush to brush him

What's the best way to brush my puppy?

lay your dog on the floor and pet nicly then let him sniff the brush. then slowly start to brush gently as you contiue to pet him.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

The one where you want to crawl into a hole when you look at photos?

I've had two, one when I had big 80's curly hair and the other when I had my hair cut short at Tony and Guy, I looked like a loo brush!

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

Sides crew cut short and the back long. I did it when I was 17 because my boyfriend at the time made me. Now twenty years later I have black virgin very very long hair because I like it and do not care what others think anymore.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

When I was a kid I had my football # engraved on both sides of my head.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

a spiral perm in the 80's omg i looked like a poodle and when it got wet well lets just say i looked liked something the cat dragged in lol. i cringe when i see photos of myself then.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

i still cant look at the pics of me with the sides of my hair in pigtails, and since i had kinda short hair, they stuck out the sides!

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

Cannot ever say ive had a bad hair style

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

i went for a shaved head with the ronaldo tuff at the front like he had it during the world cup 2002. not a good look believe me...

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

I'm not going to tell you.

Lets just say it was that bad that even the hairdresser doing it couldn't stop herself laughing.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

Bryan May Perm 1980's

Punk rock chic cut. Spikey on top and long at the sides and back. 1990's.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

the piece of crip ive got now

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

A mate of mine once tried to give me a scissor short cut. He said, it'll look great, just like Robbie Williams. Anyway, 10 minutes later, I look like Ive just had 3 weeks in Chemo, not good, so had to number 0 it with a pair of trimmers.

Disaster, never again!

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

lol, havent suffered one yet

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

the one iv got now i think the hairdresser was wasted and he gave me a mullet

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

I got called bog brush when I was about 13. I had my hair cut short at the back and permed on top I thought it was great until I got to school and earned myself a nickname.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

Well, Im only 12, but since I have curly thick hair all I had was bad hairdays since my mom just kinda left my hair alone all day from the day I was born untill I was about 9. Then I started to style my OWN hair lol.

What's the worst hair style you have ever had?

I went for a trim and the stupid girl cut my lovely long hair really really short, started at the back so by the time i noticed it was too late. I was devastated! Iv been trying to grow my hair long again for nearly a year, at the mo its just above my shoulders, its slowly getting long again.

(not saying anything is wrong with short hair, it can be really nice, but not on me!)

Hair help As soon as possible please?

I'm going on a cruise in 2 weeks. I had to get my hair cut short back in January due to a bad straightener in October that left my hair thin, super soft, hard to manage, hard to hold a style, fly away because of the softness, and broken. It's not dry and can't handle a lot of conditioner. Hairspray holds maybe 30 minutes and I'm frightened of wind. I feel like a space alien. What hairspray or mousses would keep my hair holding a shape better without being sticky and breaking my hair? Should I use clip-ins? Why is my hair so soft?? I can't pull it back as it's only chin length and the sides are so thin and shorter than the back. I have to fluff with dryer and comb or brush each day to get any style. I can get it looking okay, but the wind does it in. It's short with bangs on top and sides and a little longer in the back - layered up all over. It's fine and thin and SOFT. I tried mousse this morning but it weighed it down and actually made it harder to do.

Hair help As soon as possible please?

Try styling it with Got to be glued. First, dampen your hair and then put it away. I would recommend to use barrettes. Hope this helps!

Hair help As soon as possible please?

Try a product called Root Boost by TIGI it is about $20 a bottle and you spray it on your roots when it is wet and then brush it to the ends then style. It will help give your hair body and will make it appear to be thicker.

Good Luck!!!

Hair help As soon as possible please?

Maybe try switching shampoos. You need to use something for fine thin hair. I use Pureology Volume, but Boilage has a really gentle poo/condish set for volume (fine thin hair). As far as holding your style without being brittle...maybe try something like Redken Rewind or Redken Guts, which is a mousse but it is for volume (fine/thin hair).

You'll need to change the way you think of your hair. Reduce the amount of heating appliance (blow dryer, flat iron) or reduce the heat of the appliance.

Also, for your cruise, try the natural look. Get waves using something like Redken Touch control and then use a wide fabric headband that ties in the back to keep the wind from blowing it in your face all the time. Throw on a big pair of Nicole Ritchie-esque sunglasses and you'll be adorable!

Have fun! Good Luck!!

PS...when your hair grows back out, check out www.naturallycurly.com for some great tips on how to dela with your curls/waves!!! They have TONS of awesome info.

Hair help As soon as possible please?

I like Paul Mitchell Freeze %26amp; Shine Super Spray or any Got to Be ______ (fill in the blank...glued, spiked, etc.). Both are great STRONG styling products.

Hair help As soon as possible please?

Try using a freezing spray

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them

Besides using a detangler you should use a wide tooth comb or a large pick. Also brush there hair before the shower and before bed those are the 2 worst times there hair can get tangled. If there hair is long comb it out at night and pull back in pony tails so its not so hard to comb out in the morning.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

get some detangler.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

There used to be a product, I believe made by Johnson %26amp; Johnson, called something like "No More Tangles" or something along those lines. My mom used it on my sister %26amp; I when we were kids %26amp; it worked really good!

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

Use a detangling spray such as Johnson and Johnson.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

Spray-in conditioner! Towel-dry their hair, spray the conditioner in, and then work the tangles out with a pick or wide-toothed comb. Start at the ends and work your way up to the scalp. Be sure they use a conditioner when they wash their hair as well.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

johnson %26amp;johnson has a detangling spray, it works really well. My neice has really curly hair and we sprayed in that stuff....it doesnt leave it greasy feeling, dries quickly and smells great...so your daughters wont feel the pain of tangles and tears....much luck to you

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

HUN.. TRY GETTING THIS THING CALLED FRIZZ FREE.. U CAN GET @ SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY.. WELL GoOd LuCk!!!!!..... CUZ I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM B4... BUT I HOPE THIS HELPS... LATER!!!!!

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

Try detangler, or wet their hair before brushing it.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

they have lots of different stuff go to the store and look by the little kids shampoo or you could try using just a little conditioner in there hair after you wash and dry it

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

You need to use detangler. If you go to a salon you will find they have many. Back to Basics has a real good one. If you go to Walmart or something they have some descent ones too, cheaper. You can use them on dry or wet hair. Wet will work better but through out the day if need be you can use it.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

Get some detangler and spray into there hair when wet and comb through good or either go to your childrens beautician and ask her what she recomends.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

Use a leave-in conditioner and detangler. Then remember to brush their hair from the ends up. Maybe hold their hair in a sort of ponytail while you brush to alleviate some of the tugging.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

use this hair spy detangler that would be alot easier on them and then use a comb on then it is alot better for their hair

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

conditioner!!!! lots of it and when you rinse their hair make sure you don't rinse a lot that way they'll still have some on by the time you brush...

also when you brush make sure you hold your daughter's hair at the root with one hand and brush with the other that way when you're pulling on it, it won't hurt at all.

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

weel u can buy them some detangler hair conditioner or jus wet their hair. ooo %26amp; its better 2 comb it but not hard wen u c that it starts 2 hurt them jus do it gently ontill theres no more knots!!

My daughters have very curly hair and cry when it is brushed what do i use to make it easier on them?

Use a wide toothed comb and comb it through when it is wet with conditioner in it. That will make it a lot easier on their little scalps and will cause less breakage.

Hair problem...?

I think I've dyed my hair to its limit because now its feeling a little rubbery and when i brush it it falls out really easily. What should I do to get my hair stronger again?

Hair problem...?

stop dying it and try not to blow dry and straighten it at the same time. and if you do aply any heat to it make sure you put in heat protection stuff like redken silk infusion or something like that.

Hair problem...?

Try to let your hair rest. Let is air dry and avoid using heat for a week. Do some hot oil treatments, and leave in conditioners. It should help improve your hairs texture and help it from breaking.

Hair problem...?

well i think you should try that hairipy shampoo. it's might work. i hope i could help answer your question.

with love,

Allison

Hair problem...?

stop coloring your hair immediately! [no matter HOW long those roots get..lol] get as much of your hair trimmed off as your willing to lose [just so the dead can begin to come off, and not split your hair all the way to the roots..that may be whats happening now]. try to get redken extreme shampoo and conditioner [works wonders!], and if you MUST use the blow dryer and straightener, please use heat protectant sprays, or creams. redken also makes an awesome product called 'anti-snap' for what your hair is going through. it is wonderful. i have used it before, and it really helps. [and smells great too!] you can get it at almost any salon. good luck.

Hair problem...?

You'll also need a wide-tooth plastic comb - you can get one anywhere for about $2 - a round brush with both natural and nylon bristles (these kinds really get a good grip on your hair when you blow it out), and a thin plastic comb with a long pointed handle for parting your hair. Buy large metal hair clips - the kind for styling. Look to a beauty supply store for these if the drugstore doesn't have any good ones. Thin hair ties are also very helpful. Try to get the kind without any metal in them, as those snag easily.

Use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Infusium 23 is great. Matrix and Biolage are also excellent, but a little more expensive. Even if you are loyal to your favorite brand, Infusium 23's leave-in conditioner is an absolute essential for anyone who straightens their hair. It has a texture like water and leaves no residue if used properly.

Shampoo twice to really get your hair clean. Never scrub, but gently massage your scalp. Pay special attention to your hairline - particularly around and behind your ears - because this is where your hair gets especially dirty. When you're satisfied, comb the shampoo through with your fingers to distribute it to the ends, but keep in mind that there's no need to vigorously wash the bottom half of the hair, especially if it's damaged. Be sure to rinse it all out, and be thorough but always gentle. Any trace of shampoo left in your hair will only contribute to dryness. Rinse for a full four minutes.

Condition your hair three times to get it really soft. Don't use too much, just enough to coat it evenly. Please, please, please do not condition the roots of your hair. The bottom half is all you need to do unless you're into major greasiness. The first time, condition normally, comb it through with your fingers and rinse it out. The second time use a (store-bought) deep conditioner mixed with your regular conditioner and leave it in for a while - tie your hair up to keep it out of your face and get your shaving/body scrubbing/whatever out of the way, and rinse it out. The last time you condition rinse it out with cool water (or as cold as you can tolerate). This will really help seal in the moisture and add shine. Rinse as thoroughly as you can! Accumulated conditioner makes your hair feel dull, heavy and greasy, guaranteed.

While your hair is still dripping wet, apply some Infusium 23 leave-in conditioner. Use only on the bottom half of your hair. Less is definitely more here. Use too much, and your hair will feel like there's a light spray in it. For the best results, put some in a spray bottle. A couple spritzes on each section is all you need. If not, pour a very little bit onto your hand and smooth it through your ends. Comb it through with a wide tooth comb.

Use a very, very small amount of serum or creme just on the ends of your hair. Make sure that it's oil free and not too heavy, and again, keep it well away from your roots. Squeeze it through between the palms of your hands.

Comb the front of your hair forward, and use the end of the thin comb to part it. The part will stay in place best if you make it while the hair is wet.

Wrap your hair turban-style in a towel, and just let it 'soak' for about 25 minutes. You can experiment with the time to see what works best for you.

[edit] TipsKeeping your hair short (just below the shoulders or shorter) and layered is the best way to go. Ask your hairstylist to thin it out, and your life will be so much easier. Get it trimmed often. Split ends are never attractive.

One length and completely straight is so out. Experiment with different cuts and add some body here, a few curls there. No matter how hideous or how damaged it gets, just know that you can always chop it all off and it will grow back.

If flyaways and static are killing what would otherwise be a great look, spray some Static Guard (you can find it at any drugstore) onto your comb or hairbrush, wait till it's relatively dry and comb through. You'll be amazed.

If you're going to use a shine mist, use as little as possible. Try spraying a small amount onto your hands and smoothing them over your ends.

About once a week, use a deep conditioner. You can pretty much use anything you want for this: sesame oil works wonders, but anything creamy or oily - mayonaise, bananas, mashed potatoes - works. Leave it in for as long as you want before getting into the shower, but be really really thorough when washing it out.

Wash and style your hair at night, and wrap it just before you go to bed. This really 'sets' your hair, so that in the morning you can go over it really quick with the flat iron and it looks even more polished and smooth.

Go as long as you can without washing your hair. Every other day is generally enough, but if you really can go up to four days, who's going to know? Just be careful - unwashed hair tends to smell offensive.

If your hair is just a bit greasy, hide it with a teeny bit of baby powder on the roots. Scrub it in like you would with a shampoo and comb through to distribute evenly.

Consider chemically straightening your hair to calm it down (and make flat ironing easier). Ogilvie and One'n Only are good at-home straighteners to try, and they aren't too harsh.

Keep your flat iron clean. If you've been using it on dirty hair (which you should never do, as it literally fries your hair with the oils and smells horrifying) it can accumulate a greasy buildup on the sides. Every once in a while, just go over it thoroughly with a damp cloth.

Obviously, straighten your hair in front of a mirror. Strategically placing a mirror behind you as well will let you see the style from the back, which is very helpful.

If you've ignored my sound advice and decided to sleep without wrapping your hair first, at least clip your bangs or whatever hair is in your face out of the way. Humans have a tendency to sweat and get oily while they sleep, which greatly contributes to greasy bedhead - not cute. Consider sleeping with a fan blowing on your face to keep things dry.

[edit] WarningsJust know that with the right cut, you can let your hair dry naturally. Hair-straightening-addictions will honestly take over your life. There is a time and a place to spend two hours on your hair, and it isn't for the laundromat.

Use a flat iron with discretion.

Always unplug your flat iron when you're done with it. Not only is it bad for the iron, you also risk burning down your place of residence.

Don't put your flat iron on a wooden or painted surface either because the heat will damage or discolor it. Use a folded up towel, pillow, old hat - whatever.

Humidity is your worst enemy! During the summer, keep your hair up or as short as you can stand it. Be well prepared for rainy days with hooded sweatshirts, hats and a sturdy umbrella. Remember that the better the flat iron, the better your hair will stand against humidity.

Heavy sprays and gels are your absolute last resort. Hard, crispy hair is downright unattractive, especially on straightened hair. Steer clear. With the right styling technique, you won't need them at all.

Hair problem...?

Some things to remember before dealing with your hair:

1) Dying your hair wears out the health of your hair.

- Unless you really feel the need for it, try not to dye your hair or bleach it. The chemicals will eventually over power your hair, causing it to become extremely feeble and weak.

2) Straightening or blow drying your hair dehydrates your hair.

- Hair dryers and straightners applies great amount of sudden heat onto your hair, causing the moisture to escape out. If you really feel the need to do this though, try using hydrating shampoo formulas from Herbal Essence or Lo'real :] (I found Lo'real to be the best--Lo'real Vive!)

3) Putting more chemicals to soften and strengthen your hair after it was chemically killed anyways will NOT make your hair any better.

- This seems to work for me whenever my hair feels dehydrated or rough--

a) Take a shower and give your hair and scalp a really nice and gentle wash with some shampoo (personal favorite--Lo'real Vive)

b) Wrinse out the shampoo; apply conditioner (Lo'real Vive conditioner!) and let it sit for 10-15 minutes (this will allow your hair to absorb in the conditioner's moisture and nutrients)

c) Wrinse it out gently and when you're done, let your hair air-dry so it can dry in peace without excessive heat forcing the moisture out.

Hope it helped! %26lt;3%26lt;3 Good luck!

Hair problem...?

wat more fish and seafood. get your vitamins, and purchase your shampoos from salons. get a haircut, and apply roagain to your hair. which makes new hair grow out, and make your hair stronger. don't use your hair dryer on hot when you blow dry ur hair. do warm or cool. i know it takes for ever, but it'll help a lot. try not to blow dry your hair every time you take a shower. dry it so hard with a towel, then let it dry by itself. do that like 3 times a week.if you're losing hair, it could be from stress too.

good luck!

Hair problem...?

let the rubbery part of your hair grow out and then cut it off!

then use heat protection and go to a hair salon if u want it dyed. also use special strengthening hair shampoo and conditioner with follow up hair creme stuff, its those 3 step bottles u can get at any drug store.

Hair problem...?

Use a deep conditioner regularly. Leave it in for at least 5 minutes. Use a wide-toothed comb and comb it only when you have to. Don't use hair driers or flat irons.

The deep conditioner should make it somewhat stronger. But I recommend being really easy on your hair until it grows out.

I also recommend getting it cut so that the split ends travel up the hair shaft while its growing out.....

My hair is ugh, i like it but...?

UGH. i LUV my hair, it is up to my chest and i have sidebangs ova to the left. also i have layers in the front. what u dont like is tht even though i wash it regularly and clip it up and brush it and of sort, my side bangs always look greasy and i have to have them clipped up. so no1 gets to acctually c them but me wen im trying to make it right. after being clipped up, wen i bring it down, it is poofed ontop of the bangs because of it being up for so long. i have straight hair growing longer into wavy,(i like tht, jus help with the bangs!) and also, when my hair is up and my bangs are clipped up, i have little hairs coming from the top of my forehead and it makes me look like i have a big head. i luv my hair and all but...

P.S.- can u give me some ideas tht would match my hair. some hairstyles maybe tht i can wear at school or parties?

P.S.S.- can straighten them, gel, curl, or hairspray.

P.S.S.S.- IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY

My hair is ugh, i like it but...?

Hi, I'm a hairstylist. I suggest spraying some holding spray from a can on your bangs so they won't look so greasy. Did you say you can't use that though? You can use a shampoo that is slightly drying to the hair. Suave daily shampoos might help. Hope I helped and email me if you need more from me!

I need an easy hairstyle for long hair?

I have an oval face with a very small pointy chin and bright blue eyes, I have really long kinda curly brown hair. By kinda curly i mean if i don't brush it i get these big curls. My hair is like bendy wire so it is very easy to style it but i don't have a straightener! I would like a quick nice hairstyle that won't fall out. Also my hair is very thin. I think that''s everything.

Oh yeah i don't have layers,

More then one hairstyle would be nice i like having a variety!

thank you,

I need an easy hairstyle for long hair?

nothing can go pass the classic ponytail. curly ends look really pretty at the end of the ponytail. try pulling lose some strands and wrapping it around the hair tie to hide and add some class.

You could also try a side ponytail (on your right or left) and low, hanging loosely to the front. that looks really good for all hair.

I need an easy hairstyle for long hair?

a bun, ponytail, french roll.

I need an easy hairstyle for long hair?

PONY OR FULL CURLS AND DOWN

I need an easy hairstyle for long hair?

A classic pony tal will be just perfect, u could also part the hair in the middle and comb it side ways

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

my school has a combined junior and senior prom coming up this Saturday. I don't really have money to spare, so I'll be doing my own hair/makeup.. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I have a strapless, navy dress which has a fine black overlay with a diamond-shaped patern. at the points of all the diamonds are small jewels. It also has a black sash/ribbon at the waist. I bought these long, dangly earings, with a couple strands of a fine chain. The bottom of each strand has a small crystal, which just brush my collarbones.

I'm wondering what the best way to do my hair would be... I have fairly thick hair, which is kinda curly/wavy when wet, but is easily straghtened my combing it out. It comes to about mid sholder blade, and is a varying mix of blonde, brown, and (it's new surprise shade) red. I have natural hightlights.

Any tips/pictures would be much appreciated. Also, is getting my make up done for free (Macy's) worth it? Will it look fake?

Thanks!!

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

OOO! That dress sounds soo cute! ok, well im not sure about macy's free make-up, but you could go to macys now and see if they do good make-up or not, and then if not, i think for your hair you should pull it back on the very top with like a bobby pin, and then curl the rest, that would look so cute!!! GOOD LUCK, HOPE I HELPED!!!

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

if your hair is longer; i would scrunch it.

if its shorter .. above shoulder lenght; then straighten it.

hope i helped. =]

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

Just like your avatar but use a silver fake flower. This way you can do your hair quickly and not have to worry about ruining it, since you can easily put it back up.

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

There are tons of websites which give ideas:

http://www.promhairstyles.net/

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/prom/

http://www.beautyriot.com/category.php?i...

I think you should straighten it and leave it down. Those fancy updo's take away from your face.

Def. get your make up done at Macy's- get a good lady and she'll do it so nice for you. =]

Oh yeah, your dress sounds soooo gorgeous!! But the earrings sound like they would make it tacky. Wear more classy and sophisticated pretty silver studs instead. Chandelier earrings are out.

Good Luck! Have fun!!

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

definitly wear it up if you have dangling earrings because otherwise they won't show.

Doing my own hair for prom... suggestions please!!?

i think getting makeup at the macys counter would look fine.... and for your hair:

Help!want sidebangs but suuuper unmanagable hair!?

well i have thin hair but its not super thin. anyway, have you ever noticed how side bangs sweep in a curved direction?well what makes them do that and what keeps them from laying flat?

also,we dont have alot of hot water so i have to take my showers at night, and when i wake up,my hair is all bent, and extreeeeeeemly hard to manage! i have to brush it like 50 times a day!so how do i get my side bangs to curve at the bottom(if i get them)? and do you have any idea why my hair is so unmanagable?how do i fix it? do you think i should get some side bangs? thanks.

Help!want sidebangs but suuuper unmanagable hair!?

well if the sidebangs are done right, if they go down on an angle by layering, then they will start to curve by themselfs

Help!want sidebangs but suuuper unmanagable hair!?

You need a hair thickening shampoo with vitamins, and you need lukewarm water only to rinse your hair off from conditioner not shampoo. Many people have unmanagebale hair but u have to get use to it, try straightening your hair, or just try straightening the part you want curved and put the rest in a ponytail or a bun. you do that by using a thick round brush (natural bristles only) and brush upwards, outwards and then down wards while using a hot blow dryer.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

I have thick hair so I don't know if I'm worring for nothing but my hair is comming out more than usual when i brush it and like when I run my fingers through it.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

This could be a condition called Allopecia Areata. It can happen to anybody, at any time. Check out http://www.naaf.org for more information

My hair is comming out more than usual?

mine does that every once in a while too, then it goes back to normal, like i'm shedding my winter coat...

My hair is comming out more than usual?

See ur doc!

My hair is comming out more than usual?

maybe u should see ur doctor. and ur hair is spose 2 come out everyday. i learned in biology that 300 hair follicles come out everyday...i think. anyway maybe u should use different products in your hair or stop using products frequently that have strong chemicals. hope i could help!

My hair is comming out more than usual?

So, what's your question?

It might be from bad diet, the heat, stress...

My hair is comming out more than usual?

im having the same problem as u and have a lot of hair and really thick but from what others have told me it is natural for some ur hair to fall out

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Mine too! Maybe all the heat and dry air... it is happening to a lot of people.. or most people in the world are stressed.

Good night :)

Mavis knows

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Stress can make your hair come out

My hair is comming out more than usual?

You are going bald.. so get rogain for men.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Try hair mayonnaise.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

How old are you? If you're loosing hair, it might be a sign of keratinization or hardening of the skin. You ned to massage your scalp everyday vigorously and comb your hair before you shampoo it.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Nope ur supposed to loose about 100 strands of haris a day I hear.. u usually loose alot of hair durring the summer anyways. Dont worry nothings wrong with you, my hairs been coming out alot this month too

My hair is comming out more than usual?

You're suppose to lose about 100 strands of hair a day..not sure if this helps?!

My hair is comming out more than usual?

I'VE HEARD THAT PANTENE SHAMPOO MAKES YOUR HAIR FALL OUT, ARE YOU USING PANTENE

My hair is comming out more than usual?

me too have the same problem but unfortunately we can't stop it . i hope it will stop by itself

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Human's are like animals. We have to shed our underlayer of hair so to speak. In the summer %26amp; in the winter my hair comes out like crazy in the shower and in my brush... Nothing to worry about unless you start seeing bald spots.

And, Pantene doesn't make your hair fall out. I used it for a while and it made no difference. Another thing that might help, if you don't already do it, use a different brand of shampoo every 2-3 bottles... it keeps your hair healthier because it doesn't become used to one type and it helps keep it balanced.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Hair falls out when you're stressed, near your period, have bad skin on your head, have oily hair roots, etc.

Stop using conditioning for 30 days when you wash your hair.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Think about the type of hair products your using. Also are you more stressed than usual or are you getting stressed out? What type of brush are you using? Consider all those things. You could have some type of scalp fungus that comes from using other people combs and brushes. See a dermatologist about this matter if it worsens.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

I have really thick hair and mine has done that my whole life so I wouldn't worry about it too much

My hair is comming out more than usual?

our head shed but if you are worried go see Dermatologist for the hair and your medical doctor to do blood work. maybe it is poor nutrition, hormonal issues, or it is natural.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

it could be a change in hormones, diet, activity, or even just getting sick.. could ask your dr if your worried about it..

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Fast growing hair?

My hair is comming out more than usual?

This happens from time to time and is nothing to worry about. It is sometimes caused by a hormone swing due to pregnancy, or nursing, but if that isn't the case you may want to have your thyroid checked if it continues. I had that happen when i was postpartem and also when my thryroid wasn't functioning correctly.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

There have been a few times in my life that due to stress my hair fell out a LOT. When the stess let up then the hair loss stopped. Also, a few months after I had my daughter my hair fell out in handfulls-I was so upset I called my doctor right away. He said it was normal.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

i had the same problem as yours before... i asked my aunt about that she a nursing student... she said an average of 50 strands of our hair fall off everyday... hope this helps

My hair is comming out more than usual?

it's normal for that to happen time to time, stress, your diet, the horrible heat, all these things are contributors...if you are really worried, don't ask yahoo...ask your doctor

My hair is comming out more than usual?

My hairstylist says we shed more during the late spring and summer.

As we get older 40 -50s we lose more hair.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Are you getting enough Protein in your diet? Yes, stress can do it too. Take care.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Sometimes our hair may fall out more often than other times. There are several reasons that out hair comes out, lack of proper rest,

improper eating habits, lack of enough vitamins,

stress, and even worry. If this seems to become a real problem, your local doctor should be able to help you with medicine.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

Is it getting long? My hair is thick and I know the longer it grows the more I feel like it's coming out more. Know other people who feel the same way to. Even shorter my thick hair still sheds like crazy, but not quite as much.

If it's not coming out in clumps or you don't notice it when you look in the mirror, then you are probably fine.

My hair is comming out more than usual?

You're going bald, plain and simple.

1 in 15 women do, and often from a very early age. But nobody ever talks about it. Think about it: did your maternal grandmother wear wigs or kerchiefs? It's usually an inherited trait along the mother's side. But if your own father is bald (or balding) then your chances of going bald yourself, as a woman, is upped by 37%.

The best thing you can do is to shave all the remaining hair off your head and apply twice-daily rubs of cod liver oil to the scalp. Also take plenty of B vitamins and STAY HYDRATED.

There's no need to panic. Lots of girls look hot with shaved heads, and you can cut the smell of the cod oil by spraying your head with Fabreeze.

When it grows back your hair should be thicker. At least for a while.

But you'd better get used to the fact that, by the time you're 30, you're going to look like a recent convict. But with the better, custom made wigs available from finer salons and/or creative scalp tattoos, you'll be every bit as pretty as the other girls.

Good luck.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

What hairstyle can I do, so that I don't end up fooling with my hair so much.

My hair is normally really healthy; I had below shoulder length hair since ever but about 12 years old I cut it off constantly. Now I want to grow my hiar as long as possible. My hair now is shoulder length but I went vegatarain and my hair breaks off constantly. At work I have to look decent. I am obsessed of my hair and fool with it all the time...What hairstyle can I do that is feminine, conservative, and will allow me to leave it up for days at a time.

(P.S. I normally wear my hair in a bun but take it down/up/brush/heat all the time every day.) I will consider anything except braids.) Oh and I have went back to eating meat too) Any advice????? Please!

Black women only please, for hair care..?

If you are vegatarian, I don't understand why your hair is breaking off. First off you need to get your hair healthy again, I use GNC hair, skin, and nails formula. I shampoo and condition my hair once a week, I get a relaxer every 6 weeks, and try to limit the use of heat in my hair. I would recommend that you get roller sets, not the same roller sets for older women, but with a medium sized or large sized roller. You can wrap your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf. You will have body and curl without drying your hair out with heat. Your should also use some kind of moisterizer for you hair. Good Luck.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

A hairstyle I use sometimes just to keep from playing with my hair is getting my hairstylist to braid/twist my hair and put me under the dryer and let it dry. When it's dry and she undoes the braids, its a pretty style that lasts for like 2 weeks depending on how rough you are.

Thats a good alternative to fussing with your hair all of the time and straining it by putting in a bun all the time and heating it up. All you have to do is finger comb it and you're good to go. :)

Oh, and nothing is wrong with being a vegetarian...just take your vitamins and supplements every day.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

I wore a wrap for about a year and my hair grew several inches. I would only use heat on it after I washed it. Also, consider increasing the time between your touch ups. I went 6 months between and I was amazed by the amount that my hair grew. I also heard that biotin was a good supplement for vegetarians, to help maintain health hair.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

Hi, I'm not black but I can tell you why your hair is breaking off. It's great that you're a vegetarian girl, but you also need protein. You can get protein without resorting to meat, with textured vegetable protein products like Morningstar Farms (they make fake bacon, chik patties, sausage, burgers.. everything!) You're not getting enough protein, which is why your hair is breaking off.

I use a conditioner for black girls, it's Loreal Vive for Women of Color with camellina oil. The stuff works great, give it a try if you want. It smells good too.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

my hair is shoulder length - I wear decorate hair pins, I use hair combs, to pull back the hair. I use hair pins for French twist. NO RUBBER BANDS. I wear head bands thin or thick in width. If you get a nice precision hair cut, your hair will keep it's shape.

One week I will wear my hair curly, keep the ends trim and healthy, the next week I wear my hair straight. I braid and roll my hair up every night, this keep my hair wavy. I massage my scale with oil/hair grease that have a LOTS of vitamins end it. Oh keep the ends of the hair oiled too.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

Since your hair is very delicate I would suggest that you do a lot of deep conditioning. Apply mayonaise on your hair on a daily basis. I know it sounds crazy but mayonaise has essential nutirents which can make hair grow at an accerlated shine and also mayonaise gives it that extra shine and glossiness. Beverly Johnson uses mayonaise as a conditioner on a daily basis to give her hair that extra shine. Also use leave in conditioner on a daily basis. Leave in condtioner just like mayonaise repairs damage and prevents breakage. If you want to avoid the constant breakage then Mayonaise and a quality leave in conditioner are the best solutions. As styling is concerned I recommend just as you mentioned sophisticated and conservative. You have got many great ways to go. You can either try the Naomi Campbell Straight Hair with bangs, you can go wavy like Beyonce or even shoulder length and sassy like Beverly Johnson. The possibilites are endless. If you consider the Naomi Campbell style or any other style what I recommend if you want to avoid extra breakage and damage use a heat generated straightner in which the heat makes your hair straight. If you want those extra curls use a quality curling iron and you will be fine. Heat Generated straightners as well as curling irons are great because they get the job done with much less damage. With mayonaise, a quality leave in conditoner, and with quality styling irons your hair will be shiny and healthy. You and your hair will look fab and glam!!!

Black women only please, for hair care..?

Each of the listed answers have great points. The mayonaise tip is really great, however, we do not and should not shampoo daily (weekly at best).

I have a simular problem, in my job, I tend to be the only woman in a meeting and the last thing I want to do is play with my hair. I use mayonaise, put on a shower cap while you shower and let your natural body heat work for you. After about 5 - 10 minutes you're ready to rinse. I follow up with a regular conditioner just for the smell.

Blow dry and braid. When you take the braids out the hair maintains the wave pattern. Finger comb and use a little holding spray, combs or head bands (I hate hair in my face while I'm talking). This keeps me going for the week until I shampoo again. (I rebraid it nightly or every other night through out the week) Be sure to tie it up at night.

(TIP: If I start the process early enough I dump the blow dryer and let the braids air dry. This holds the wave pattern tighter and longer.)

Good Luck !

Black women only please, for hair care..?

I drink water and apple cider vinegar to keep my hair from breaking off. Its great for nails too. About 2 tbls. mixed with water 2 times per day. It has over 93 vitamins and minerals. Sorry about the hair styling. Why not try a french roll? I wear my hair in a pontail all the time. Very inexpensive. I love meat too much to become a vegitarian. I drink lots of water during the day. You sound to me as if you are dehydrated. Instead of coffee, try water instead. My hair used to break off constantly, but now it is lush and long thanks to water and acv. Look up on the websites.

Black women only please, for hair care..?

take vitamins drink alot of water...wear a satin scarf or cap and wrap your hair at night...oil it...only when it feels dry...not too much...use a thin hair oil...like KeraCare..don't use anything hot on your hair more than once a week...make sure you own a leave in conditioner...and you should purchase essence beauty basics and beyond http://www.essence.com/essence/essencebo...

hair mayonaise is very good...also the line of KeraCare product...very good as well...

trim your hair every 6-8 weeks... the hair dresser might have to cut off quite a bit since you mentione breakage...but it's the best way to go...don't comb or pull on your have too much...when tying it up...you should wear it down once in awhile...never let your hair dry out...yet never let your hair get too greasy....wash your hair once a week...make sure to condition....and treat....oo and buying a satin pillow case is a good idea

...for your hair style...a low ponytail always works with the sophisticated look...maybe some soft curls

lol that's all I can come up with

Black women only please, for hair care..?

If you want longer hair you have to moisturize it and make it stronger.

#1 if you use anything petroluem based or with mineral oil in it STOP! That doesn't help, it hurts our hair. Coats it and weighs it down.

Last year I cut off all of my hair cause I no longer wanted a perm (which I put back in 4 months ago) it was less than an inch long, now its past my shoulders.... how did I achieve this?

There is this oil called rosemary, you can buy it pure from most health food stores and doesn't cost all that much for a total hair miracle. But the thing is you can't use it straight from the bottle, you have to dilute it with like olive or jojoba oil, like 5 drops of rosemary to 2 table spoons of the other oil. But anyway you put it on your hair 3x a week, and it does make the hair grow, you should notice within a month. Another thing is to stop messing with your hair, wear a wig, seriously, but never wear a wig on your hair, first put a silk or satin cap on your hair so the wig does not come into contact with your locks cause it will break off your hair.

Never wear your hair out in bad weather, always moisturize with a water based cream and wear a cap at night to bed. If you have a perm condition your hair 2x a week, I don't mean wash with shampoo, just rinse your hair of product, especially if you use gel (which no one should) and put a moisturizing conditioner in, leave it for a few minutes then rinse, put on oil and wrap the hair, put on a cap... Oh, and hair vitimins, I use Hair, Skin, and Nails and it works.

Long hair care?

I have hair that comes down way past my shoulder blades. It is thick, fine and quite wavy. It is prone to knots.

I like to wear it out when I straighten it but find that it is too damaging to my hair, that it gets too knotty and when i brush it, quite alot of haor breaks off.

What do you do with your long hair to take good care of it and keep it healthy? I love having long hair and it grows so slowly I don't want to cut it short, but I worry I am doing alot of damage no matter if I wear it up or down.

Long hair care?

after straightening it spray some no-frizz shine from TREsemme. this will keep it glossy and tangle-free. it will also protect it against the weather coz it acts as a conditioner too

Long hair care?

use hair oil! it works 4 me, also hair cream

Long hair care?

I have long hair also and i always wash it at least 3 times a week (usually more) and than deep condtion it every week also when your hair is wet you should comb it and brush it.

Long hair care?

I had the same problem. I have very long hair and I straighten mine everyday. I use a staightening shampoo %26amp; conditioner, I would tell you what brand but I cannot remember. It's in a pink bottle. It works wonders on my hair, it actually helps make it staright. I also use a very thivk hair serum while its damp, and let it air dry. Then when I go to straighten it, it works very well %26amp; it stays straight all day, and if your hair is really damaged already. Only wash your hair every other day, but don't touch it a lot or it will get greasy. I hope this helps a little bit.

Long hair care?

It's probably the shampoo u use. U can try applying conditional after every wash and use frizz-free gel before u go out. U can also try to layer ur hair to make it thinner so that it's more managable. Alternatively, rebond ur hair.

Long hair care?

before straightening it they came out with this spray that keeps the straightner from burning your hair the makers of it are tresseme. Good Luck

Remedy to fried hair?

i just relaxed my hair. i had super curly hair and im white. now my hair is totally fried. i cant really even brush it. how can i give it some intense moisture? i hear things about mayonaise and avocado but im not sure how you even do that. what other ways are there?

Remedy to fried hair?

K-pak from joico the best treatment on the market voted by stylist # 1 for years. It is a protein treatment which is what hair is made of.Home remedies try beer, eggs, olive oil.Good luck:)

Remedy to fried hair?

Hi,

First thing I would do is the Mayo thing. Just wash your hair and then put mayo directly onto your hair. Yes, Just as it is. Put a towel around your head for 10 minutes then rinse off and rewash your hair. Make sure after you wash your hair that you put an excellent conditioner on your hair. A Solon would have the best conditioner. Next thing I would do is get your hair cut. Get as much damage out of your hair that you can.

Good Luck

Remedy to fried hair?

the first answer is right!! joico is really good

Remedy to fried hair?

Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum is a good place to start. I'm a swimmer so I know a little something about really damaged hair. Look for stuff that advertises "intense" and "use one weekly." Mix and match conditioners too, don't be afraid to use lyk 3 in one shower. (I had to do that after a 4 day outdoor meet when my hair was so shot that it crumbled off at the tips!)

Remedy to fried hair?

Try, washing and conditioning your hair everyday. Also you may want to try using Blue magic hair conditioner to make your hair grow. I also reccommend using "doo gro" for making your hair grow. P.S. Don't relax your hair ANYMORE, unless you wanna risk deep fried hair

Remedy to fried hair?

mayo won't work to my knowledge. Cutting is the only way to eliminate the fried hair I believe. Other than that, give your hair a break, don't use a hair dryer, etc. If anything, you won't make it any worse.

Oh, and there's always hot oil treatments, but I don't know if they actually work. Best of luck.

Was brushing my 4 yr olds hair today and found a white wiry hair. Any ideas on why? should i take he

Could be a sign of B12 deficiency, but nothing to really worry over. I would not rush her to the Dr, but mention it the next time your see the Dr for any other reasons.

Was brushing my 4 yr olds hair today and found a white wiry hair. Any ideas on why? should i take her to dr?

Wow, that is weird. I think I would certainly talk to the Pediatrian about it and do an internet search. Gosh, good luck on this one.

thats pretty normal i think.

Oh my God take her to the ER!!

Just kidding. One wacky hair is nothing to worry about. If a whole bunch of them start popping up, then maybe take her to the doc.

Was brushing my 4 yr olds hair today and found a white wiry hair. Any ideas on why? should i take her to dr?

My daughter, who has this huge head of beautiful hair has a little clump of about 6 hairs that are white like that.

She's had it since at least 2nd grade, she will graduate from high school this spring. Trust me - she has been poked and prodded by doctors more than 99% of kids (she has a birth defect) - those little white hairs are nothing.

Was brushing my 4 yr olds hair today and found a white wiry hair. Any ideas on why? should i take her to dr?

My son had one white hair when he was little. Now he's 15 and has quite a few in a patch. I wouldn't worry about it.

grey hair my sister got them at 13, a lot of them , no big deal, i would bring it up to doc next visit but i would not bring your child to doctor just because of it

It's not a big deal.

Was brushing my 4 yr olds hair today and found a white wiry hair. Any ideas on why? should i take her to dr?

I have thick, fine, soft blonde hair.. Always have. However, to this day, I still find strands of what I affectionately call "mommy hair" in my head. A wiry, kinky, dark brown hair... Just like the hair my mom has. I only find one every blue moon, but it makes me smile every time it happens. :) I don't think it's anything to worry about, it's apparently possible to grow two different types of hair at the same time.

Wat hair type am i?

ok i have very very long dark redish hair but like i hav some like almost orange streaks in my hair and i hav never colored it cuz i dont think coloing is right but my hair isnt curly or straight its kinda wavey but sometimes it gets really frizzy and after i brush it out its poofy like but then in a couple hours it looks kinda like curls again but they arnt curls so like wat type of hair do i hav and i hav some split ends but i wont cut my hair so plz help

Wat hair type am i?

i am not sure! try this wesite: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curl411/ty...

They list it by hair type and mubers. There is also the LOIS system, but that one doesn't make any sense to me.

Wat hair type am i?

You are not taking care of your hair. Everyone needs to cut it to have healthy looking hair. And frizz is caused from brushing your hair. You should only use a wide toothed comb if you do but only if it is wet. You really should think about getting a haircut. Maybe just a trim at least.

Wat hair type am i?

It sounds like you have curly hair. Try putting a curl mousse or gel in your hair when it is wet--scrunch and let air dry. I would try avoiding brushing it while it is dry, only when wet, which you also shouldn't do too often as you could break your hair.

Guinea pig lost handfulls of hair after bath? Normal??

I have a curly coated long haired guinea pig whom I brush every other day. (her back is ticklish so i refrain from every day tickling fits lol) Well today she had a bad ( she stunk hard core ) and i brushed her out after she dried, and I have NEVER seen so much guinea hair come off of her!! It was literatly 2 handfulls. She looks fine and her skin is normal, and etc. And i know enough about guinea's to be owning them due to months and months of research and questions. But this one totally baffles me on why she lost so much hair. She doesn't have any balding spots now or anything, but I"m really just curious if this is normal, and if anyone has gone through this. It's kinda worrysome..at least she's clean and non-stinky!!

Also, i've always just used water and light scrubbing to bathe them, but a friend of mine uses baby shampoo. Is that safe and okay to use ? I don't trust myself enough to get all the suds out so thats why I just use water. Anyway, is the hair loss normal ??

Guinea pig lost handfulls of hair after bath? Normal??

It seems to be normal. My guinea pigs shed hair like it's going out of fashion!

As long as there's not bald spots, crustiness, bleeding etc. then your guinea pig is fine.

Don't use baby shampoo. Get a proper antimite/ lice shampoo for guinea pigs from the larger pet stores.

Dry with a towel then a hairdryer set to warm NOT hot and don't put it too near the skin or it will hurt it.

Guinea pigs are such sensitive souls.

Guinea pig lost handfulls of hair after bath? Normal??

Have you been brushing her everyday up till the bath? Because if you haven't it could just be the loose %26amp; dead hair coming out. If she doesn't have any signs of hair loss or stress I don't think you have to worry too much but just look out for any other signs.

Guinea pig lost handfulls of hair after bath? Normal??

Guinea pigs should be bathed every 3 months. And dont use baby shampoo that could be the reason why her hair is falling out because of dry irritation of the skin make the hair fall out use ashampoo for cats for sensitive skin because thats what obviously your guinea pig has but it will be fine its ok dont think your cruel or anything cause i know all of these peeps on yahoo answers make you feel like your a cruel person or something but its alright mother of 3 lol :D

Guinea pig lost handfulls of hair after bath? Normal??

She might have fungus? My teddies (shorter haired) sometimes get it. It looks like a white crust on the base of their coat. Their hair will just come out. And the way you said she was ticklish makes me think she has it too because she would be itchy. You can bathe her in Selsun blue it gets rid of it but make sure she/he doesn't eat any! And rinse it all the way out. She will probably be fine but if you are still worried you could try the vet...

Cat brush or comb?

i have three medium length hair cats... they stay at home %26amp; dont go out... there is no place in my house which is fur free... their fur can be found on sofa, carpet, my clothes, etc... please help.. Thanking all of you very much....

currently i am using a plastic human comb to brush their coat...

- Firstly, which is better, comb or brush?

- Which material, plastic, nylon, metal, etc?

- What type and shape?

[please do dont reccomend a furminator or shedender, i checked it out and its a blade rather than a comb, i dont want to use it]

Cat brush or comb?

It is probably best if you use BOTH a brush and comb--for cats. You can get both of these at your local pet supply store + they can give you suggestions (from other customers experiences) on which ones work best. However, don't expect this to completely stop ALL of the cat fur, but it will surely cut down on it. Just remember, for those of us cat owners--there is a saying: "You're never completely dressed unless you're covered with cat hair!"

Now, myself, I have an EXTREMELY long-haired male Turkish Angora. Twice a year I take him to the groomer to get him completely shaved (except tail), and he LOVES IT! This cat actually goes into this pitiful depression when he wants to go to the groomer to get all of this hair off of him. This probably isn't necessary with medium-length coats on your cats. Just a good CAT comb %26amp; brush, and you'll have to keep at it and do it daily.

As far as the rest of your home, get one of those lint roller things (available at the pet supply store, Wal-Mart, some grocery stores--usually in or close to laundry detergent dept.), and use this to remove all the cat fur from the furniture, your clothing, ANYTHING/anywhere you find it--these work very well for this purpose.

Cat brush or comb?

I have a semi-longhair cat, and a number of rabbits, all who I use specially made cat slicker brushes on with excellent results. I buy the ones made especially for cats/small animals - they have a small plastic ball on the end of each bristle which stops the animal's skin from being scratched or irritated.( I don't use the normal ones without this, as the wire bristles can be pretty sharp. )

Cat brush or comb?

Try brushing them with the human combe then using one of the LEATHER car chamos (spelling?) things. It must be a leather one though - I have short haired cats and I don't even use a brush on them, just the chamos and you wouldn't believe how much hair it actually gets out until you try it!!!

Cat brush or comb?

you can buy a new pet brush, it's rubber, works wonderfully on not just animals but your sofa and clothes too!I

http://www.simplygoodstuff.com/rubber_br...

Cat brush or comb?

I have two cats, and I use a wire brush. It works really well, just remember not to brush too hard. They really seem to enjoy being brushed, and the wire brush does a good job of removing loose hair. It really reduces hair on furniture, etc.

Cat brush or comb?

try a brush made for a cat. it works better than a comb.

Cat brush or comb?

Our two girls are different. One loves to be brushed while the other hides at the site of the brush. The brush we use is made for cats, has a middle bristle and we purchased it at the local Petsmart.

Cat brush or comb?

U should use a metal brush and in the shape of a rectangle they work so good. I have 3 medium haired kittens.

Cat brush or comb?

You need a comb ('greyhound comb', made of metal, is the best), and a slicker brush. The metal teeth ones are better since plastic tends to make the coat all staticky. I have 5 Maine Coon cats (used to be a breeder), and these two instruments have saved my sanity.

Surprisingly enough, use some inexpensive baby powder to lightly 'poof' the cat; it eases up the static, plus it absorbs oils and makes the cat smell nice. Use the comb to comb out all tangles, just make sure you don't dig down into the coat since some cats are sensitive. Then use the slicker to finish the coat.

I've been taught by my cats that weekly brushing (one a day, usually for no more than 10-15 minutes) keeps the poof of hair and hairballs at a minimum.

You can buy the comb and brush at any pet supply store.

My dog keep eating its baby hair is this ok?

i have a little pom pom, she likes to chew on her baby hair (er 9mo old) she is eating the baby hair that falls off her body, it's this normal, should i stop her? brush her daily? does she need to eat hair? is it bad to eat hair? will she sh it out the hair?

anything?

My dog keep eating its baby hair is this ok?

It is not good for her to eat the hair, she can get hairballs like cats do, can get constipated or even intestinal blockage. Not sure how to get her to stop, but you should try, maybe a doggy sweater? Definitely brush her so less is falling out. You can give her hairball medicine to help the hair pass.

My dog keep eating its baby hair is this ok?

She is trying to tell you something. Brush me, clean up my hair, or I will eat it. lol

To those who have dry hair, here is a beauty secret that works for me great, and it could do the sam

here it is: when you have finished your style/hairdo, rub some moisturizing/hydrating conditioner around your hairline(i forgot to mention this secret is specifically for people who have dry, rough hair around the hairlinr, like me). after you rubbed the conditioner on, brush it down lightly, then your frizzes will lay down like you had rubbed gel instead. good luck and go show off your luscious hair, even if it doesnt seem like it to you!

How to train wavy hair to stay straight (over time)?

I straighten my hair every morning. I take showers at night and my hair dries partially before I go to sleep. When I wake up and brush it, it's thick and frizzy. Is there anything I can do at night while my hair is still drying to straighten it out and keep it that way?

How to keep from losing my hair?

For the past few days my hair has been falling out in big clumps when I take a shower. My brush is full of them and my hair is limp and lifeless. I know this happens to people that just recently gave birth but my baby is five months old. Is it related. How can I keep it from falling out or how can I put some volume back into it?

My hair comes out when i comb it and when i rub my hands thru it what can i do???

I think you have a problem with your shampoo. It must be because the shampoo does not suit your scalp type. You can try to change shampoos and see if the hair fall reduces. Also it may be because your hair is too long or too heavy..if that's the case getting a trim or layering it down would be a better option.

My hair comes out when i comb it and when i rub my hands thru it what can i do???

use wheat germ oil on ur hair

My hair comes out when i comb it and when i rub my hands thru it what can i do???

Get your hair cut at least every month, I was told that helps.

My hair comes out when i comb it and when i rub my hands thru it what can i do???

Not sure what condition your hair is really in, but the best product I know for damaged hair is K-Pax Reconstructor, it's semi-expensive but it does really well to moisturize the hair and scalp. Generally though hair loss can be related to scalp problems, and diet. Drinking plenty of water can really help to moisturize the body from the inside out. Also avoid heat styling as much as possible, to keep a nice, sheek curl without heat, use a very light cream styler and put it in damp hair.

My hair comes out when i comb it and when i rub my hands thru it what can i do???

use some hair mayonaisse, its a kind of leave in conditioner (no, not the kitchen kind lol). you cam find it at the beauty supply store..it stopped my hair from breaking...my hair would be all over the btahroom sink and floor...until the lady who do my hair told me to go buy hair mayonaisse..and it suely stops the hair from falling

My hair comes out when i comb it and when i rub my hands thru it what can i do???

I would worry if your hair is falling out at the root. Maybe you hair is just breaking off. Try trimming it every 6 to 8 weeks and try deep conditioning treatments for dry hair. If your hair is over processed then it definitely need nutrients and vitamins. If its falling out from the roots then you should talk to your doctor, otherwise, remember that your hair and nails are extent ions of the skin. In other words, what you put into your body is what's gonna come out. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and nutritious foods. Stress can make your hair fall out, so make sure to give yourself, or find someone to massage your scalp. You can tell your stressed when your scalp is tight. Loose scalp = healthy hair! Good Luck!

Colour in Thailand has my hair falling out please help :-(?

Hello, I thought it would be cheaper to get my hair done in Thailand last night but now my beautiful healthy hair is falling out. It is so matted that I can not brush it %26amp; when I do clumps if it come out. I have been putting in leave in condition all day but it just soaks it up. I am now in Singapore %26amp; am considering going to Toni %26amp; Guy tomorrow to ask if they can prevent it from looking like the front of my whole head has been shaved a number 2 :-((( Anyone been there or can give me help, Im all by myself %26amp; am so sad :-(

Colour in Thailand has my hair falling out please help :-(?

i've the same problem due to too much relaxers! but i did not get it from thailand. LOL

firstly, cut away all the damaged hair. There's no way to cure really damaged hair.

Secondly, buy a protein products. Be sure to condition your hair afterwards. I am using redken deep fuel. It's a more potent protein treatment. Dont overuse it.

Thirdly, buy SALON product shampoo and conditioner that nourish and repair from inside out. Redken ones are real good. MOst of the shampoo and conditioner only nourish and repair the outer layer of the hair which does not make any help to your hair.Hence, you need shampoo and conditioner that repair and nourish your hair from inside and outside.

Lastly, stop using any hot appliances like blowdryer and hair straightener or it is going to make it worse.

that's all. It's going to spend lots of your pennies but it's worth it.

good luck!

I was going to get my hair permed in Vietnam, but now I changed my mind.
