Frizzy hair help?

I have curly hair that is very frizzy. I don't like going to the salon because it takes too much time and it makes me feel very weird sitting under the hair dryer. I feel like my head is on fire and sometimes I feel claustrophobic. Plus, my head is tender and the people who work in the salon usually hurt it. Sometimes I want straight, nonfrizzy hair for dances and other special events. I have a blow dryer and stuff, but sometimes when I blow dry my hair, it just get weird and frizzy. How can I blow dry my hair so that it doesn't get that way? Is there any cream, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, brush, etc. that will help me achieve my look?

Get a nice boar hair paddle brush, the bristles of natural boar hair have oils in them that can help relax and tame frizzy hair.

Yes, fist shampoo with Pantene Ice Shine shampoo and conditioner. Then blowdry your hair while brushing it straight out with a hairdryer. Then use a really good straightening iron on it. Finally finish with some hairspray. At Walmart they have all kinds of products to help.

I use a small, dime size amount of regular hand cream. I just rub it on my hands and then run it through my hair after I've blow dried it. Usually does the trick.

maxiglide straightening iron. it uses steam and will rid your hair of frizziness, its amazing.

Frizzy hair help?

Yeah...I have the thing. I have naturally curly hair, but I manage to keep ti straight. What you need is a flat iron. You can get 'em anywhere...Wal-mart...K-mart...places like that. It's a hair straightener. Thing is...sometimes it might take a while, maybe an hour to fully straighten your hair, but is it worth it...except on days that it rains, or your hair will friz back up a bit.

I also have curly, frizzy hair. I have found that not washing your hair everyday with shampoo helps. Instead of shampoo, use conditioner, it helps the frizz. If you feel the need to use shampoo everyday, use a leave in conditioner before you dry it. I love the Fruictis leave in conditioner.

You might also want to check out a book called "Curly Girls" it came out a couple of years ago. It is all about curly hair and contains some really good ideas of how to handle it.

I had really frizzy hair too, and one thing I learned was that it can't be fixed over night so I started using hot oil treatments, not using hair irons, etc, and I see BIG improvment. It's so soft, and now the curl is coming out instead of all the frizz.
