Straightening troublesome hair?

I've been trying to straighten out my hair for a while now. It's naturally wavy, and particularly on my right side, my hair wants to curl to the front. I've tried blowdrying with a rolling brush as well as a ceramic straightening iron using Redkin smooth down oil, even applyed Got2B Shaggy texture to it and train it to go straight, but it still doesn't work. What do I do?

Buy a shampoo that is meant for straight hair, that'll help to straighten it, use some silk results straightening stuff to help protect your hair from heat and helps straighten better and blow dry as you do.

Got2b has never worked for me.

What type of blowdryer do you have? I have a revlon one that puts ions back into the hair and that really helps, also you may need to put your flat iron on a higher heat.

I have wavy hair and I use a Solia flat iron (folica.com) and it works wonders! I've also straightened my cousins hair with it and her hair is VERY tight curls and it went as straight as mine does.

If all else fails go to a salon and ask to get your hair blown out. that'll keep it straight for a week I believe.

i have the exact same hair, and i cant use too much smoothing product, because my hair looks greasy when I put too much of anything in it.

so...

i found that Herbal Essences straightening shampoo works wonders! I accidentally used my friends because I had run out of shampoo, and it was amazing! i don't know if the conditioner works as well as the shampoo, but I've been using the shampoo the night before i straighten my hair, and its been really easy to manage.

its still going to have some slight waves, but it pretty much knocks out a lot of the curliness

o and i know how cheeze it sounds/looks, but it works

Have you tried GHD straighteners? They're the best. I have very curly hair and they're the only things thatmake it straight, quickly and stay. I would also recommend swarzkopf anti frizz serum after straightening it's really good...Good luck!!!

my hair is wavy, curly and frizzy. but the way i straighten my hair is in different parts. first i start with the bottom then the middle work my way to the top. when i straighten my hair i get the brush apply it on my hair get the straightener and comb while i straighten my hair this gives me shiny, silky hair. but your hair is probably not use to being straight. give your hair some time to get use to being straight. i suggest you spend more free time on your hair just to get to know your hair a little bit more.

Its a cream that helps to straighten your hair and protects against the heat damage from the flat iron.
