How could I make my hair look better? :)?

I've got long hair midway down my back (a little less than half way) and i've got two questions for you.

More Infor: My hair like isn't EVER flat on the top. Like if it looks REALLY good when I brush it... I look in a mirror twenty minutes later and it's not flat or looking good anymore! It suxs for my six hour school day! It never looks good for a large amount of time.

So, here are my questions:

1) Would straightening it make it look better?

2) Would hairspray make it look better or just madded down? Like, I would like my hair to be all natural... but I could wear hairspray.

For my pictures my hair came out awful and my friends (who either heavily hairspray it, heavily straighten it, or both) came out really good. My one friend straightens it before bed and in the morning and has really good hair, but i need suggestions...

p.s. no, i won't cut it... i like it's length and its perfectly trimmed.

try straighting the top, works for me!

erm hair spray can make it look greesy so be careful wha kind you use,

try puttin the parting on the otherside, changes the look of your face,

try puttin it in pigtails, french plait?

try curlin it wi straighners.,

wha abou a high pony tail an a bump at the front!?

I straighten mine at night and then run a straightener over it in the morning and then use a gloss over it. If its wavy try scruching with mouse and blow with a diffuser.

Do not straighten it, the heat may severely damage it.

I would not use hairspray either. Go to Sally Beauty Salon and ask for Motions Hair Shampoo and Hair Lotion.

1) Yes, straightening it would help alot but you have to invest in it and get a good quality one like chi or helen of troy; the cheap ones wont do you any good. When you straighten it, protect it with a spray before so you dont damage it, and a straightening cream for after to help smooth it down at any time of the day. You can get these products at a drugstore.

2) No, it will make it very stiff and worse than before, especially if you have thick hair.

My advice 2 u would be 2 use a heat-protective spray, striaghten it, hairspray it then go the bed. when u wake up, brush it then it shold be straight, but if not straightn it again and heavily hairspray it. i know what u mean, i used 2 have it all the time and i did this and now i love it.

straigtening looks good till it wrinkles up again, and hairspray smells!

try blowdrying it and scrunching it when its damp.

wear an upstyle! place accent on your face not your hair!

give your hair a treatment regularly.

love yourself no matter what your hair is doing

hey i something that you can try is when you are in the shower and have just put the conditioner in your hair before you rince it out run a comb throught your hair and part it how you like. them rince but dont touch your hair again after that. let it dry without brushing or doing anything to it. i have curly hair and this works really well. hope that helped.
