I was lucky enough to attend a high school with a hairstyling class! Heh.

Before getting out the blowdryer just brush your hair.

Take a small section at the back and pull the rest of your hair away. (As if you were making a ponytail and leaving a bit at the bottom)

Put the rest of your hair into a clip and hold the dryer in your dominant hand and the brush in the other and while brushing the underneath of the chunk that you left blowdry it from the top.

Keep bringing down chunks from the part in the clip at the top of your head and drying it.

You can keep the dry hair in a clip as well if you wish.

Another way to do it is to section your hair into 4 quarters (right and left top of head, right and left back of head) and just dry section by section.

And like I said before, hold the dryer in your dominant hand and hold the brush while brushing the underneath of the hair with the dryer on top!

If you don't want to straighten it, just flip your head upside down and jiggle it around while pointing the dryer at it.

FYI, i've flipped my head in front of a floor fan to dry my hair. it takes a little longer b/c there's no heat but it does the trick!

I just blow dry my hair to get it dry too. All i do is dry the front 1st (because it drys fast and wavy on its own). Then I get my roots dry flip my hair and blow dry that while running my fingers through it. I then stop, brush out my hair, see what needs drying still and blow dry the rest!

Blow drying your hair is tons easier to style if its not soaking wet. So the best suggestion would be to blow dry your hair upside down. Bend over and just go at it. The position also helps give your hair more body, or oomph, however you want to put it. Then when its dry, style with your brush. You should only have to work with the ends (whether you flip them out or whichever) and the front.
