Please help don't like my hair?

I have dark brown hair, kind of long, medium-thin. It is usually wavy, and when I brush it out it is straight for a little while. I don't have any good products or styles that are good, and sometimes I just leave it down limp or throw it in a pony. Any styles or products I could use to make my hair fully thicker and less tangly? Also styles that can be done in less than 5 minutes, step by step and very easy? Thanks

check out this link.... it might help?! http://www.herbalessences.com/us/get_the...

Please help don't like my hair?

Dont ask these kind of questions.

Please help don't like my hair?

easy braid it before you go to bed and wake up take it out and you have wavy hair....i think all guys like it

Please help don't like my hair?

if u want side swept bangs just grow ur front hair out or cut it to make it like a little above your ear. sweep it to one side and hairspray it u dont need to spray it everyday because then it will be used to on side and ur hair will obey

i think long straight hair will look rly good with side swept bangs

for the front strands, you can make it curly by wetting it and rolling it around you finger for like 2 minutes let go and us extreme hair spray on it itll look rly good!!

pull it back and clip it up and you'll be a totally new girl!! if its a little too long, then u have to cut some of it..

or you can curl ur hair with a curlng iron.

if u need more tips on curlin ur hair, email me at sooaddictedx33@aim.com or check out aussie.com info expert advice; theres a vid how to make loose waves in like 2 min., which rly works.

hope i helped! 閳?br>Please help don't like my hair?

Got o a salon and have your hair cut into choppy layers with a shoulder length. Use V05 volumizing spray from root to tip and spray 10-12 inches away from hair for best effect. Also pick up strands of sprayed hair and let them drop. (particularly the shorter layers). Then do this all around your head to give it a thicker look. Also make sure your hair will be straight. It helps to use a flattening iron.

Please help don't like my hair?

hi

my hair is exactly like yours!!! a little wavy but if you want it more curly, buy this hair spray called curly sexy hair. you can get it anywhere. just spray it in your hair after you take a shower when it is damp and then scrunch your hair by taking parts of your hair and squeezing it. there are better directions on the back of the bottle. they are about 7 or 8 dollars a bottle but they work great!!!

hope this helps...

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

I've got long hair midway down my back (a little less than half way) and i've got two questions for you.

More Infor: My hair like isn't EVER flat on the top. Like if it looks REALLY good when I brush it... I look in a mirror twenty minutes later and it's not flat or looking good anymore! It suxs for my six hour school day! It never looks good for a large amount of time.

So, here are my questions:

1) Would straightening it make it look better?

2) Would hairspray make it look better or just madded down? Like, I would like my hair to be all natural... but I could wear hairspray.

For my pictures my hair came out awful and my friends (who either heavily hairspray it, heavily straighten it, or both) came out really good. My one friend straightens it before bed and in the morning and has really good hair, but i need suggestions...

Help!!! :)

p.s. no, i won't cut it... i like it's length and its perfectly trimmed.

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

straighten it and use a very light volume enhancing spray and don't overuse it - just two sprays is enough

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

Conditon condition condition it.

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

Your in school to learn, its not a fashion show.

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

try straighting the top, works for me!

erm hair spray can make it look greesy so be careful wha kind you use,

try puttin the parting on the otherside, changes the look of your face,

try puttin it in pigtails, french plait?

try curlin it wi straighners.,

wha abou a high pony tail an a bump at the front!?

works wonders for me but done make it to high!!

have fun!

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

I straighten mine at night and then run a straightener over it in the morning and then use a gloss over it. If its wavy try scruching with mouse and blow with a diffuser.

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

Do not straighten it, the heat may severely damage it.

I would not use hairspray either. Go to Sally Beauty Salon and ask for Motions Hair Shampoo and Hair Lotion.

It really actually works!!..Hope I have helped!

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

1) Yes, straightening it would help alot but you have to invest in it and get a good quality one like chi or helen of troy; the cheap ones wont do you any good. When you straighten it, protect it with a spray before so you dont damage it, and a straightening cream for after to help smooth it down at any time of the day. You can get these products at a drugstore.

2) No, it will make it very stiff and worse than before, especially if you have thick hair.

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

My advice 2 u would be 2 use a heat-protective spray, striaghten it, hairspray it then go the bed. when u wake up, brush it then it shold be straight, but if not straightn it again and heavily hairspray it. i know what u mean, i used 2 have it all the time and i did this and now i love it.

good luck xxo Tink

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

go for the "messy" look!!!! be different - be yourself! dont be a sheep and follow all the other idiots.....

straigtening looks good till it wrinkles up again, and hairspray smells!

try blowdrying it and scrunching it when its damp.

wear an upstyle! place accent on your face not your hair!

give your hair a treatment regularly.

love yourself no matter what your hair is doing

How could I make my hair look better? :)?

hey i something that you can try is when you are in the shower and have just put the conditioner in your hair before you rince it out run a comb throught your hair and part it how you like. them rince but dont touch your hair again after that. let it dry without brushing or doing anything to it. i have curly hair and this works really well. hope that helped.

How to manage thick hair???

I have long curly hair (to my waist) and it's becoming more difficult to brush. The ends are dry and frizzy, and every once in a while i find huge knots (no way around them excect to cut it off). I'm also afraid that by having to brush it so much i might be losing a lot of hair. I really don't wanna cut it...can someone help me please???

How to manage thick hair???

a good shampoo is white rain...a good ''designer" shampoo is redken. be sure to use conditioner especially on the ends. and you can use leave in conditioner [in adittion to regular conditioner] Potion 9. use that on the ends...not to close to the scalp. comb your hair when you get out of the shower and if possible try not to blow dry your hair every day

How to manage thick hair???

Sounds like someone needs a haircut...

How to manage thick hair???

idk i have the same problem...use lots of shampoo and conditioner...after you shower use a wide tooth comb and brush it out

How to manage thick hair???

u can buy products to smooth dry, frizzy hair. but the best option would be to trim it. that way u don't lose too much length and ur bad ends are gone.

How to manage thick hair???

I got the product by Matrix. Sleek Look. Shampoo and Conditioner. They also have other leave in products. I had the same problem and it really worked. I didn't believe the stylist. I thought it wasn't going to work. I had every kind of shampoo and conditioner. She said you only need a dot on your palm. I wasn't thinking to myself, Yeah Right! But it work.

How to manage thick hair???

I think you should cut your hair just a little, long hair is cute but not that long, u could donate it to Locs Of Love.To get my hair straight I use a flat iron but you might have to go to a professional.

How to manage thick hair???

I have thick hair 2. So I know what your talking about.I usually put my hair in a half ponytail. It's really cute. But if that doesn't work thenyou might want to get it cut. Then you might want ta get it cut. This is how. First you want ta get it cute at a reasonable length. Then when the person is cuting it try not to think about it soooo much. Think about somethin else. And get it straight . That way it will be manageable.

How to manage thick hair???

Try spraying some Olive Oil Sheen Spray while your hair is wet. It calms and tames your hair. My hair is almost to my waist too. None of the silicon serums ever helped. In fact, they caused more damage.

Getting hair cut..?

I want to get a hair cut, but I'm not sure what to have done, because I'm tired of just having a traditional trim every couple months.

When dry, my hair reaches just below my shoulder, like an inch or two. It's really curly/wavy (depends on if I brush it when it is dry) and super thick. And it is always in a ponytail, sometimes a bun.

If you have any ideas for a hair cut, please tell.

And any products recommendations to help make my hair less poofy/frizzy and more under control?

Getting hair cut..?

i would look through some magazines and see what you like then take it to yur stylist

Getting hair cut..?

the bob is back in. maybe you could try that with layers or different lengths at the chin?

Getting hair cut..?

How about trying those programs where you get a photo of your face and then can see it with all sorts of different hair styles.

I always find it is best to have a good idea before you go into the hair dressers. Whenever I have let them choose my hairstyle I have regretted it.

Good luck!

Getting hair cut..?

Ok use some sunsilk or even coco butter but for a hair cut .....dont cut your hair you should get layers and maybe side bangs then youll have a cute hairstyle!

Getting hair cut..?

I have the exact same hair type as you!

Tomorrow I am going to the hairdressers to get a fringe and choppy-messy layers. This is awesome, as if you straighten it you have an ultra modern hairstyle, and if you don't you have an extremely pretty hairstyle with beautiful curls and a straight fringe! I have some hair products you can use for straightening or getting those curls/waves out of that frizz!

John Frieda (sp. Freida?) Frizz-ease shampoo and conditioner first off. Does wonders for my out of control hair. Apply liberal amounts of conditioner at every wash to control frizz more. Follow that by John Frieda Frizz-ease serum, which you apply after towel drying you hair and before blow-drying. Remember to have a hair brush with you in the shower and brush it regulary through the wash. Also try and rinse your hair with cool water after conditioning, this reduces frizz and brings out shine and wow!

Remember to ALWAYS blow-dry your hair with the hairdryer facing downwards. It's tricky at first but you will get the hang of it. This also reduces frizz.

I suggest getting a choppy fringe you keep straightened, and layers. This way you can wear your hair in a ponytail on the bottom most layers and still have your face framed with the shorter layers and fringe. Extra sexy!

Oh yes - Make sure you put the shampoo on JUST your roots, and not on the ends. Squeeze it into your hands and rub it into the top, when it's fully massaged in, run your fingers to the ends of your hair to clean it but have minimal shampoo on it. Conditioner, the other way round, put loads on the ends of your hair.

Phew! Hope that helps!

Does my hair love me?

i eat lotsa fish that provide protein along with eggs. i use a really expensive shampoo which is great on my hair because its all natural with no chemicals. i have healthy hair treats for it and i love it a lot. its natural and ive never dyed highlighted permed straightened or do anything like that to my hair before. its naturally dark brown and straight with side bangs - the hottest hair! i am very careful with my brushes and combs when they are on my hair and i always make sure nothing hurts my hair. i eat a lot of b vitamins vitamin a and vitamins that my hair needs. i drink orange juice to get a lot of vitamin c. my hair is soft, shiny, and healthy. i get it cut/trimmed every 2 weeks or so. i use a swimcap and healthy special leave in conditioner treatment that protects my hair from the chlorine in the pool. i dont use blow dryers or any heat styling tools. no gel and no unhealthy things. i occasionally eat seaweed and i always eat a multivitamin everyday.

Does my hair love me?

weird question

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

I have semi thick curly hair. I dont have a frizz problem (i better knock on wood) i had cancer, so its like i have a new head of hair... never colored/straightened/blow dried, but my probelm is when i sleep, it gets so tangly. I try putting it up, but then the hair on the bottom back of my head just becomes a big ball of tangles. I tried braids, but my hair is layered and it doesnt braid well. I am pretty much up for anything because i am sick of my head hurting after i brush it... and my arm gets sore!!

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Honey I feel for ya! I have the exact same problem. My bottom of layer gets so tangly it has many split ends (I don't even color or heat style), while my upper layers are very healthy and shiny! It's the bane of my existence. . .Anyway try sleeping on a silk pillowcase! The slipperiness really helps prevent tangling. Also, you might want to invest in some detangler product and a wide toothed comb, which is better for detangling. Work from the ends of the tangle upward after spraying liberally with detangler.

Peace and good luck!

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

sleep with a satin pillow case! it allows your hair to move freely and not get matted down. good luck.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

they make a leave in conditioner. try that and see if that works.otherwise maybe try brushing it really good at night and pulling it back

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Hmm... If your hair is long you could try putting your hair in a pony tail and then every inch or two put another pony tail so the hair stays place. Only down side is it may make your hair wavy.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Hi there, you are one person to admire since you beat the cancer, may God bless you always. Well you should try to braid your hair that really works.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Wash your hair in olive oil to untangle it.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

silk, or soft pillow cases..

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Braid about 12 different sections, all layers individually and about 3 braids per row... does that make sense?

It's not comfortable at first, but you eventually get used to it.

Good luck.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

I always had VERY thick long hair. It grows healthy and is very long, but the last 3 years or so more and more has fallen out. I know it's natural for some hair to fall out, but my hair is thin now. Not too thin but as of right now I would say I have 50% of the hair I used to. No exaggeration. Even my family has commented on it.

It's not age, I'm only 25!!

I haven't switched shampoos.

I don't dye it, perm it, or chemical treat it.

I'm not on any new prescriptions.

It falls out in the shower the most then the rest in my brush.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

You might be anemic (low iron level) I was and my hair was falling out really bad. See a doctor, a simple blood test would let you know if that is your problem. Good luck.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

You should see a doctor, it could just be woman hair lost but it could also be something else like a wheat allergy or something wrong inside your body. See a doctor and he will be able to direct you to the right coarse of action.

Good luck to you!!

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

it could be the water you drink or stress of the environment you live in. it could be climate.

or it could be a disease like alopecia.

you should really see a doctor.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

I agree that you should see your doctor, sometimes stress is a big factor, but try not to worry about it too much, I have very fine hair and it falls out when I wash it, then when I brush it, then when I blowdry it, and its yet to disappear completely so don't panic.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

you say your not a any prescriptions... does that include birth control? have you had a child recently? or are you pregnant? hair loss has ALOT to do with hormones. do more research if any of these situations apply.

good luck to you.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

You can use Dr Miracle...It sells in the CVS pharmacy. i have been using it for couple of weeks and i see results already. If that does not work i think you might want to go to the doctor. sometimes we need medical advise. If you are using any chemicals you should give it a rest to see what happens...If your hair is falling out for three years i think you should get medical advise.

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

I just had a baby 4 months ago and have long thick hair, recently long strands have been coming out more than normal. There's hair everywhere. Its not in clumps but every time i brush, run my hands through...it comes out

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

Ok........Forget going to the doctor!

I have had 3 children and while pg my hair grew faster and thicker. Then after the births I experienced hair loss for a few months. It is perfectly normal.

Relax

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

when my sister was pregnant her hair grew alot.....but she never lost it i think u should go to a dermatologist real quik

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

The same thing happened to me (just not the baby part!) My hair was falling out bad everytime I brushed it and when I was in the shower clumps would fall out. My doctor said it was because of stress. Other reasons may include depression, vitamin deficiency, or pregnancy issues. I would go to the doc. to make sure eveything is okay!

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

well if its a whole lot you might want to see a doctor. but you might just be looking for the hair to much so your noticeing it more. its normal to loose a lot of hair a day

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

You are having a NORMAL postpartum shed. When you are pregnant, your hormones are increased, which causes faster and longer growth cycles for hair. After the baby is born, the hormones decrease, and all the hairs that would have been shed during the pregnancy begin to fall. It is completely normal and should not last long. Sometimes the hair does take a while to grow back, but again, is normal. Good luck.

I think I'm losing my hair but not really sure?

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

Im going to get a texturizer for my hair! :(?

and i want to know what to expect and how to prepare for it...

i tried to convince my mom to let my natural hair be...but she stated that it was just like "brush" which is NOT true at all

my texture is a mix of tiny tight spiral coils, curls, and kinks..and to me it feels soft..

but i will try to convince her one more time and see what happens...

but in the meantime what should i expect and how i can i ensure that she doesnt mess up my hair

cuz i hate chemicals because for one RELAXERS ruined my hair...and oh is there anyway to GROW OUT a texturizer like a relaxer? and how often does it need to be applied? if its not applied on a consistent basis...what happens?

but wish me luck and thanks in advance!

Im going to get a texturizer for my hair! :(?

I don't know how old you are but you seem old but you seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Especially since you recognize the risk chemical pose to the health of your hair. It is to bad you mom is not opened minded enough to allow you to make this decision yourself. A texturizer is a relaxer in a milder form but still a relaxer if you leave it on long enough you would end up with straight hair.

But a texturizer depending on how long you keep it on will relax the natural texture of your hair, just slightly. Almost like a s-curl or a non-greasy j-curl. It won't ruin your hair if its done right and the good thing is you can grow it out, and it will be a easier transition since your hair will still have texture in it.

Im going to get a texturizer for my hair! :(?

relaxers grow out ive had lots of them and you should put it in your hair every 3-4weeks would be good. and good luck i hope your mom says yes and test on a very small area first so nothing happens to it again.

Im going to get a texturizer for my hair! :(?

Since your going to a salon you maybe able to have the stylist show you a style that works with natural hair that will give your hair a better appearance. I'm not sure how long your hair is, but you may try two stranded twist, straw set, or a rod set. Just pay attention to what they do in the salon so you can do it your self at home. I keep my hair natural and don't like chemicals (besides color).

But you can grow out chemicals in your hair, but you need to make sure your hair is conditioned well so it won't break off where the processed hair meets the natural hair.

Will my daughters hair fall out???

My baby is six months old. She has a lot of hair and it is very wavy. Her hair covers her eyes and always looks very messy no matter how much i brush it. I started putting it up on top (like a pebbles look). She looks soooo adorable. i am worried though that it may fall out due to putting it up. Does anyone know if it will fall out or if it is okay?

Will my daughters hair fall out???

its fine. if its okay for everyone else to do then its okay for you to do with your daughter's hair. don't worry it won't fall out, and i think that would look really cute! when i was her age my mother and sister would do that with my hair. now...i have medium length hair(down to my chest) when i was younger it was down to my butt.

here's a link to a picture of how they used to do mine:

Will my daughters hair fall out???

no my little sister used to have that hairstlye for the first few years of her life it wont make a difference

Will my daughters hair fall out???

try to stay away from the rubber bands or the bands with the elastic in it, that tends to cause hair to break off, try to use cloth bands or the plastic bands....

Will my daughters hair fall out???

it wont fall out. dont worry.

Will my daughters hair fall out???

Just use those baby hair bands and you'll be fine.

What could I do with my hair?

I have really, really curly red hair and I hate it. It's really hard to brush and straighten and I don't know what to do with it. I have to do the same boring hair style everyday and I want something different. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks =)

What could I do with my hair?

Well, if u absolutely do not like your hair, u could...

a) Go to a salon and get it chemically straightened

b) Get it dyed

c) Listen to my instructions of how to get pin straight hair and other styles! ___

|

V

To straighten your hair:

You need:

A straightener (preferably a good all-ceramic one, pricey but worth it-- try a CHI)

A blow-dryer (did u no that they have types of blow-dryers now that r ionizing, they make your hair softer--- try Conairs "the power of pink")

Smoothing and conditioning serum (try Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum-- it will smooth and protect your hair, with incredible shine)

Styling Spray (Try Herbal Essences Dangerously straight Iron me flat finishing spray-- it has extracts of honeyed pear and silk so it will smell great! and it will give your strands a conditioned look for a smooth finish and a silky shine!

A heat protectant (try sunsilk Straighten up 24/7 cr鐚玬e-- it straightens and smoothes stubborn kinks and waves)

finish it off with a drink (for ur hair that is)( try sunsilk's hydra tlc 24/7 creme-- softens rough ends and smooths pesky broken hairs)

Directions:

when u get out of the shower, towel dry ur hair and apply a tiny raindrop sized amount of smoothing and conditioning serum all over ur hair. then blowdry ur hair. after ur dry, take a large plastic clip and seperate ur hair, so the top 4/5 of ur hair is ontop of ur head. put a penny sized amount of theheat protectant all over the section out of the clip. Begin to straighten, but pull the straightener down, SLOWLY. It will last longer. , after ur finished with that section, finish ur whole head. when u finish straightening, apply a quarter sized amount of "the drink" all over ur hair but avoid roots, u dont want to look greased out. finish with spritzing some styling spray all over (but not to close 2 ur head and not that much, or ur hair will be like a hard shell)

~~~~~~~~~~HOpe that helps~~~~~~~~~~
Curling:
Do the above directions (everything, even the straightening)
then find a curling iron with a barrel size u like (i use a 3/4 in.) and divide into sections like u did before. u get the idea.
Good luck
What could I do with my hair?
be glad for what you have and remember some would kill for your hair
What could I do with my hair?
i have the same issue. i have black curly hair.I put it up in a half ponytail, 2 braids look cute sometimes, a side braid, straighten it sometimes...etc. hope i helped! oh and use a diffrent shampoo one that makes curly hair not frizzy hair.
What could I do with my hair?
don't straighten it and don't brush it while its curly. leave it all curly! your hair probably looks the best this way! wear it naturally proud and remember that some people would die for your luscious curls!
What is a paddle brush??
People use paddle brushes and hairdryers to make thier hair "extreamly straight" what is it and where can i get one?
What is a paddle brush??
A paddle brush is hard to describe but they are sold at Sallys Beauty Supply. The people there know what they are. A paddle brush is a flat brush that is in the shape of a big square. They can be used to straighten hair but a straightening iron is easier to use. All a paddle brush does is give another technique of blowdrying. It just isn't a round brush which is used to turn hair under or up. You just let the hair brush thru the paddle brush while drying. Not a very good description but maybe it helps.
What is a paddle brush??
A paddle brush is just a large square shaped brush (not the bristle kind)
What is a paddle brush??
A paddle brush is a hairbrush with a wide base. It typically has hard plastic bristles. Paddle brushes hold a larger area of hair flat so you can direct heat from the dryer more quickly.
What is a paddle brush??
A paddle brush is a relatively wide, flat brush (as opposed to round (cylindrical) brushes that are used to help hair curl). Think of a very small ping-pong paddle with bristles.
What is a paddle brush??
It's that big brush that has points sticking out from it from a rubber base. U can get one anywhere.
What is a paddle brush??
a big flat brush
What is a paddle brush??
A brush for your paddles.
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
Last time I went to get my haircut, she said i had the thickest hair she'd ever seen. And she's right, except thankfully it's not super curly or anything. It's pretty much wavy and on a good day, really cute! but most of the times it poofs out and it is soo proned to splitends.
So, it's established I have thick hair which is wavy, but not so curly that I can't brush it. So my question is: should I thin my hair out?? it's really hard to leave it open because it ALWAYS poofs out. SO will it damage my already split-end proned hair?? Any ideas are welcome and deeply appreciated.
and 10 points guaranteed!
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
Yeah, i would thin it. it actually can make your hair healthier, and trust me feels sooo much better! My cosmetologist,too, says I have the thickest hair she has ever seen, everyone does!!!
But i get my hair thinned every once and a while....it makes it feel and look 10 times better!
but do what you want!
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
Well your hair does so thick so i would go only a little thinner and make sure to deep condition it.
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
if you have more pros than go for it.if you have more cons than no.it depends on what kind of hair you have.
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
yes.
to me thin hair looks good on everyone, and it's easier to work with.
(:
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
i have the same hair as u and i prefer that u shouldnt thin it out. it might damage it. thick hair is known to be beautiful or atleast thats what i think...=)
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
u can thin out ur hair with a permanent straightner they use a product and a weird tool that makes hair smooth and sliky but also straight as possible it's about $300-$700 but it's worth it
and no is not the same as flat ironing ur hair oh and it last about 6 months
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
No harm in trying it out. It might make it more manageable and who knows you might like it better!
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
yeah you should thin it out...
Should I thin out my hair? 10 POINTSS!?
If you're going to thin out your hair just make sure they DON'T use a blade to do so.... it'll give you more split ends and you'll end up looking like a donkey chewed up on your hair! Good luck!
Frizy hair?
ok so my hair is curly when i get outa the shower and style it, but once i brush it it honestly looks like i got electricuted. i have blonde neck length shoulder hair. i wanna kno how should i get it cut? it looks really wiered when its all one length when i straighten it.
Frizy hair?
a layered cut works best for hair with natural curl. Unless you are using a brush to blow dry and straighten hair prior to using a flat iron...don't use a brush on it. Buy a very large tooth detangle comb or use your fingers... applying a hair serum with a silicone base while hair is wet before blowdrying (use a defuser) and after (very small amt...dime size or smaller) will reduce frizz. A good hair cut will do wonders for your hairs texture... and the texture of your hair is what determines how well it can be managed. Spend the few extra bucks and go to a quality salon and have it cut and styled. Peace.
Frizy hair?
Well dying your hair dries it out. Sounds like you need to retore some oils that your hair has lost. Your need a hot oil treatment and some moisterzer.
Frizy hair?
Curly hair should never be brushed. Use a good conditioner and comb tangles out in the shower. Then, use your fingers to style your hair and let it airdry.
Would this hair idea work?
i have african american hair, and it is 100% natural. that means i dont have a perm or anything. i've been thinking of some cute styles but im not sure if they'd work. the first style i was thinking was that i would get a straightener (tourmaline ceramic so little to no damage, plus using heat protectant cream), straighten my whole head, and then braid it into two big braids, then wake up the next morning and take the braids out. it would be wavy kinda like this right? http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/0/8/H/curl... and then if i went to sleep with it wavy like that and then woke up and brushed it out really good with a brush like this http://www.cachebeauty.com/Isinis_brush_... it would straighten back out a bit right?
Would this hair idea work?
It's called a braid out. You can also achieve this without making your hair straight also. It won't look like the picture, but you'll have similar results but not as straight. Be careful with heat, it can cause damage.
Would this hair idea work?
sorry to burst your bubble, but the first one wont work no matter your hair type. Your hair doesn't get hot enough for it to make it wavey using braids when you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair, and put it in braids when it is still damp and go to bed with them in, then in the morning they will be wavey.
Hair out of control?
i have a lot of hair (i am a guy) its not that long though and i am wondering because when i come out of the shower i get sort of an afrom i put this less frizzy stuff in it and it gets flat and hard to brush. i go to sleep and a day or to later with out washing my hair it finally gets to where it is good. a little poofy, but neat and good. i hate having to do this after every shower it anoys me!!! any one else have this problem(the afro sort of thing) boys and girls help (preferably tenaggers)
Hair out of control?
im a teenager put onm a shower cap and if you dont take showers use a flat ironer it works for guys to
What si a way to egt already damnge hair better?
my hair has been dyed around 10 times when I didn't know better I'v bene dying since I was 9 parent should ahve stopped me I know But i ahven't dyed in 1 year how do I fiz my unruly mistake or make it a lil better
before-
shiny hair
no frizz
beautiful color
soft
now-
Hard to brush
thin
Not shiny at all
Frizzy!
What si a way to egt already damnge hair better?
Use a hot oil treatment, they're like 4 dollars at Wal-Mart.
You can also just use warm olive oil, comb it through your hair, wash it out, and let it dry by itself. You may need to get some trims done too; stop colouring it because you may not have any hair left to worry about!
Good luck, your hair will grow out.
What si a way to egt already damnge hair better?
try some hot oil treatments you can get them at walmart try a leave in conditioner as well. talk to someone at a salon they could help you out too.
What si a way to egt already damnge hair better?
Publishing your question with all these typos and spelling mistakes is sort of like putting your clothes on half-way in the morning, and figuring it's okay, no one will notice. It is distracting and unkempt. I can't even pay attention to your question.
You'll have to let your hair totally grow back in, all new. Get periodic trims to get rid of the old, damaged stuff. Be patient.
What si a way to egt already damnge hair better?
Hot oil treatments are the best.
also, while your at it, why not stop by a teacher store,
maybe pick up a spelling packet?
What si a way to egt already damnge hair better?
dove has some hair products that can repair damaged hair.
also, use extra conditioner and leave it in longer, while the conditioner is still in your hair in the shower, get a comb and comb thru your hair. this hsould make it way more managable when it dries. make sure you are not washing your hair with shampoo every day. try every two days, or if you have oily hair every other day. but washing it everyday can cause it to dry out.
Hope this helps...***Ellie
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
yeah okay so im in the 9th grade and havent died my hair for awhile now and my hair is still falling out everywhere all the time. I died my hair a lot in middle school- all different colors but lately i havent died it maybe for almost a year now. Its been coming out in clumps and its really disturbing me- in the shower- just brushing or touching it and hanfulls of hair. iM so not liking this at all. Its been doing this now for like a year and i just want to know if anybody can tell me anything to use to make it stop or why its doing this now that i dont even use hair products anymore-HELP!
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
there are several things that could be causing it and several ways to help.
it could be hormones that is making your hair 'fall out'.
it is normal to lose give or take 100 strands of hair a day.
do NOT use a comb on your hair when wet, use a 'vent' brush.
go to your local Sally's or Trade Secrets, get a GOOD conditioner/mud, wash your hair, then towel dry. Apply conditioner/mud, wrap (going to sound odd but it works) wrap w/ saran wrap or grocery bag. Now, get out your hair dryer and heat up the 'wrap'. You dont need to go that 'far' all the time. After your hair starts to feel better, use the mud every couple weeks.
Be sure you are drinking lots of water, remember, as gross as it sounds, your hair and nails are your bodies 'trash can'.
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
you need to talk to your beautician first
or any hairdresser.
if they cannot help you or tell you what to do
see your doctor immediately
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
jeese yea i have the same problem cept im 13...i brush my hair in the shower to get out the knots w/ conditioner and little bunches of hair come out! ereeh its so annoying, tell me if ya get a good answer!
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
Have you noticed your hair actually getting thinner, or does it just seem to be falling out a lot?
If you don't brush your hair too often then all of the hairs that naturally fall out each day will stay in your hair, and then they will all come out in the shower or when you brush it.
You lose a hell of a lot of hairs each day but if you wear your hair down and brush it often or play with it a lot you don't notice.
I used to think my hair was falling out but it was just that it was curly so I didn't brush it and the loose hairs just stayed where they were until I washed it.
If it really is falling out properly then it's probably stress or poor health.
The usual...
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
best thing to do would to to be to go to a doctor since they can do blood test and such to make sure its not a lack of something in your body/. It does not seem normal if it just falls out in clumps when you brush. Now if its just a a few hairs that fall out or a bunch of little amounts falling out when you brush is normal since your old hair falls out when new hair grows in.
Hair loss @ 14 ? wtf?
Wow thats weird. Hope you don't have alapesha.
What is up with my hair?
Every time I straighten my hair, it gets really staticky and then each time I brush it all day long its really fly-away. I don't know what to do to make it stop and I don't want to have to use any kind of hair stuff that would make it greasy. what can I do?
What is up with my hair?
Use a heat protectant before blow drying and straightening.. I advice use a small amount of some hair product.. such a pomade and lightly run it through your hair
What is up with my hair?
When your hair is wet, put L'Oreal HotStraight cream in it, dry with a blowdryer and proceed to straighten with straighteners. That should work.
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
What should I do before I brush to make it easier?
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
Try some leave-in conditioner, and after a few minutes, wash it out. Then it should come right out with a comb. Hope this helps!
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
OHHHH, ouch! Peanut butter!!! Oh, it really works, everytime!
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
PEANUT BUTTER !!!!!!!!!! IT WORKS EVER TIME . AFTER USING THE PEANUT BUTTER SHOWER AND WASH YOUR HAIR. HOWEVER IT IS BETTER TO LET IT AIR DRY
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
ok, since u probably don't want to cut it, get some peanut butter and work it through your hair. the peanut butter comes out with shampoo. When i got a knot though, i just used conditioner in the shower and worked it through the knot.
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
since you are allergic to peanut butter try some vasline or almond butter ( avaliable in dupermarkets) you can also try detangler .
I have a huge knot in my hair! How do I get it out? besides brushing?
I have heard that ice may help, but if it doesn't [and since you are allergic to peanut butter] use a type of oil, maybe coconut oil. Is the knot high on your head? If not I'd call it an excuse to go get a new haircut!!
Hair highlighting help?
ok, i need some sugestions on what product i should get. i just dyed my hair a darker brown then my usual blonde, but it needs some highlights.
i have thick straight hair, almost to my waist, so the cap kind is out (it just wont pull thru, too long, too thick). i've tried the brush in kind (that looks like a mascara wand) but you get like 6 highlights and its all at the root, by the time its to the ends there is no more color left in the brush
so i'll have to get 2 boxes no matter what, but i'm just trying to find out what people like best
Hair highlighting help?
Any brand but clairol nice and easy.
Hair highlighting help?
get a dark brown high light
Hair highlighting help?
With that much hair, I would have a stylist do it so that you will get better results. I would do Honey highlights.
Hair highlighting help?
I was trying to pick a brand myself. I have dark brown hair and I want a toffee/caramel highlight color. I've never had color and I wanted some some tips, so I was searching the web, and then I saw a demo at the Loreal website. Try Loreal "Hi Light Styliste" the shade I settled on was toasted almond.
Hair highlighting help?
well either A. use the brush in kind and when the wand runs out of hair dye put more dye on the brush and continue to pull though, that's not even hard to figure out.
or B. use blonde hair dye, and brush it into your hair with a dye brush, then wrap the individual highlited pieces in foil.
you probably shouldn't even be highlighting your hair because you clearly dont know what you're doing and you're just going to mess it up and have ugly streaks and it won't look natural.
Hair highlighting help?
do not do it yourself as it is a disaster waiting to happen. it is hard to colour on colour especially if you are doing a lighter shade. in the best case scenario, it will not show up. worst case scenario, it will damage your long hair and give it a horrible colour. i have hair almost to my waist and it takes a lot to keep it healthy. the last thing you want is to damage the long hair.
as for technique, the only way to get it natural lookinbg is to foil highlight your hair or to have a professional do a paint brush technique with a special large brush. in order for your hair to look right, you really need to get it highlighted by a professional.
I have fine STRANDS of hair but a MEDUIUM amount of hair, which gives it a flat straight look. It has the slightest amount of wave and if I don閳ユ獩 blow dry it which just makes it look super messy. I have a two part question first I am going to get highlights all over and I want a new cut. What I have now is a few layers with a couple short ones (you don閳ユ獩 even notice) in the front. I am thinking about getting 閳ユ競angs閳?the kind that you just brush to the side. (Although I hate getting celebrity hair styles what I am thinking of is much like Hillary Duff Link below). Blowdrying you hair the right way helps it last all day. Obivously products help. The best thing for your hair would be to ask for shorter layers so you can go get some volume, and stop it from being flat. The picture of hilary duff isnt working lol, but she always has nice hair. You also have to take the shape of your face into consideration when you're getting a haircut, particularly for bangs.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
I have long hair. I am 5ft 10in tall and my hair is long enough that I can sit on it........
Problem is I'm getting tired of the upkeep, its a real witch to brush.
So here is the question.....Cut it or not? How short?....bald?
The only reason I keep it long is because of my hubby (who LOVES long hair) and my grown boys (they have memories of sleeping on mommies hair when they were little) and my youngest son is adament enough about the issue that he will help me brush it and he will trim it for me.....but I am just so tired of it.....
Your opinions please (pros, cons, comments.....all accepted)
Looking for opinions on long hair?
love your name.....
just start cutting it al bit and then see on how you are going. i just cut them from mid-back to my ears....it was quite a shocker to start off with but i got used to it and it so much easier to handle...especially because i am a freakquent swimmer...
Looking for opinions on long hair?
If it's long enough to sit on, you could get several inches cut off and still have hair that's considered to be pretty long.
I would cut it.
I've had long hair before (yes, long enough to sit on) and I know what a hassle it can be. You're the one that has to take care of it and deal with it, so do what you want.
You could just start off with just a little bit cut off and if you don't like it, you could just leave it alone to let it grow again.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
It's your hair, it doesn't matter whateveryone else wants. In my professional opinion, yes I'm a hair technician, Cut it no shorter than your collarbone. Then you can say it's still semi-long and it's not a fuss anymore. GOOD LUCK
Looking for opinions on long hair?
i think you should cut it right below (maybe 4 fingers) your shoulders. that way it's not too long or too short. it's just matter of time that you'll get used to it. besides, it's good to change every now and then
Looking for opinions on long hair?
YOU HUBBY MIGHT LIKE LONG HAIR BUT IF YOU CUT IT AND MAKE A NEW STYLE THAT MAKE YOU FEEL COMFY THEN HE IS GONNA LOVE IT AND WILL FEEL DIFFRENT.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
Sounds like it's time for mommy to do something for herself. Do what feels right. Hubby may find that less hair in the sink, shower, cake ect is a nice change. Plus sleeping with someone with long hair is a pain. go for it!. I recommend a little past the shoulder.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
women with long hair are hot. I love long hair. keep it, please.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
you could cut it and donate it to Locks of Love:
http://www.locksoflove.org/donate_hair.p...
That way you get a change and it doesn't feel like its been wasted and just thrown away! And your family members would know it was for a good cause (and your comfort), besides you can always grow it back out!
Looking for opinions on long hair?
I think a shoulder length hair would be adequate. Ask your Husband he will be honest with you. If you ever have any concerns he is the one you should go to for advice in my opinion
Looking for opinions on long hair?
I would cut it and save your youngest son the tormment of becomming a mama's boy.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
I would cut it a little but not so much that you put yourself into shock. Also do something simple with the style.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
It's your hair, so you do whatever you want to do with it.
You can still cut it, but keep some of the length. Why don't you cut it to just a few inches past your shoulders? That way, you can still do things with it. If you want to cut it shorter, I would do it gradually to see how you like it.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
if you want to cut it it should be shoulder length or a little longer i cut my hair every week .so if you to keep your hair you should put it in a bun to avoid sitting on it.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
i think that you should cut off at least a foot, so you can sit down without worrying about pulling out hairs, but your husband will still love it because it is still long
Looking for opinions on long hair?
If you are old enough to have 2 grown children, having such long hair might make you look older than you are. You may consider cutting it to shoulder-length or a little bit longer so you still have length and it can still be styled or thrown into a ponytail.
I think you will regret chopping it all off, and as a woman, I hate to think of another woman crying over her hair. :(
If you decide to go that route though, consider donating it to Locks of Love to be made into a wig for cancer patients.
Looking for opinions on long hair?
cut it shorter..dont cut it drastically short.. but cut it to the mid length of your back.. you will save on shampoo and the upkeep will be easier.. if you have long beautiful hair when you cut it.. you should try to donate your hair to people who lost their hair due to cancer.
Is there anything I can use to help promote regrowth of lost hair?
I have really thin hair and I seem to lose alot when I brush it. What can I do to stop it from coming out so much and is there anything I can use to try to get it to regrow?
Is there anything I can use to help promote regrowth of lost hair?
Try not to brush your hair when it's wet and try to not let it get badly tangled.... brush it more than once a day.. Talk to your stylist about the proper type of brush for your hair type as well. Don't color/perm or use other harsh chemicals in your hair alot..
Is there anything I can use to help promote regrowth of lost hair?
rogaine
Is there anything I can use to help promote regrowth of lost hair?
try taking a supplement like vitamin B Complex, Evening Primrose Oil or Silica daily. They promote hair growth and health. Also try to massage your scalp every night or before you wash it. Theirs a supplement thats specifically for hair growth and i think its name is Nourkin you may want to try it.
Good Luck!
Is there anything I can use to help promote regrowth of lost hair?
pills aren't going to do it. though you need to be more specific about your hair type I will answer.
You need to analyze your hair regimen. Since I don't know your hair type I can't tell you. Look at what you do.
Do you perm?
Do you constantly process you hair in other ways?
Do you excessivly wash your hair?
Do you use a lot of product?
Ask other things because your hair is probably damaged. If the answer is yes to any of these your hair could be damaged. You need too start taking care of your hair. If the problem continues it could be a disorder like Alopecia.
Proper hair care is the answer. Not a pill!
If you add more details I could probably help a little more.
GOOD DAY! and GOOD LUCK!
Is there anything I can use to help promote regrowth of lost hair?
Do you have a thyroid problem? I have had alot of trouble with my hair before getting treatment for hypothyroidism. You may want to see your physician to determine if there is an underlying cause. I take fish oil and that seems to help. It keeps my hair from being dry and brittle and has given it back its sheen, therefore not breaking and falling out as easily. Also a good quality shampoo and conditioner help as well. Good Luck and please think about seeing your physician for blood work.
Big hair problem!?
i have natural sandy blonde hair that i dye to a golden blonde. and i have end trouble, i always have to put anti-frizz serum on them or ojon oil so they dont look all fried.
ok, so heres my problem.
i used to have naturally wavy hair, im guessing because of the damage its not like it used to be.
basically, i want my wavy hair back. but, not exactally. see like, i want the kind of waves you see on tv. i heard to use a round brush and a blow dryer, so, thats what i did.
i dont know if it was the brush or what
http://www.haircareusa.com/images/chi/ch...
theres a pic, it looks like the biggest one, but blue.
, but i did what i was suppsoed to. i grabbed the round brush, used it like those curlers and rolled it up, then used my blow dryer. when i uncurled it, it looked like i had fried the **** out of my ends! they were crinkled and dry and frizzy like a hairball. so, i tried it agian. this time, not putting the dryer so close. agian it happend! I tried it when my hair was damp, and the nest day when it was try. It worked perfectly the first time but eh rest of the times fried my ends so I put the blow dryer down.
so, thats my probelm. how do i get waves like this
http://www.kissmestace.com/wp-content/je...
http://images.askmen.com/galleries/actre...
and not get hairballed ends?
heated curlers? or will the heat cause that to? or do I just need regular Velcro hair rollers and leave them in till my hair dries? And does it need to be a cirtain type of material? Like velvet, Velcro, ecx. Oh and if it helps, my hair, the length is does to my breasts. I really want to have nice hair for once and I love that look. Please help!
Big hair problem!?
thats a lot to read
Big hair problem!?
Big hair problem!?
large barrelled heated curlers. Like 1" heated curlers. Then gently (very gently) brush them out.
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
My hair is soooooooo stuborn! It refuses to curl no matter what I do. I take good care of my hair (shampoo and condition daily). When it'is dry, I curl it. But when I brush it out, it becomes straight again. If I don't brush it, it looks like I just got out bed (frizzy and messy). Got any tips?
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
As someone with curly hair, I have some suggestions. If you are looking for a nice, soft curl you might want to try hot-rollers instead of a curling iron. And, whatever you do, don't brush it. Because your hair is naturally straight, the curl you can get from a hot-roller will be much softer and you should be able to seperate the curls with your fingers. Also, have you tried a diffuser on your hair dryer? If there is any natural curl to your hair this item will being it out. I use it on my hair when I want it to be super curly, but I've used it on my daughters straight hair with wonderful results.
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
ok i guess if you brush the top part it will be straight so just let the end be curly or do it the best way you know how.
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
its best to put curl products in damp hair. it works sooo much better. use a gel-cream or a mousee in damp hair. then when its dry you could put shine serum if its still frizzy
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
try using mousse when your hairs wet, then use hairspray once youve styled it, i have the same problem with my hair so i know how u feel! even if i use loads of products, it only stays curly for 2 hours max :o(
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
I would get a permanent, but just one for waves so it won't be too curly. This way if you brush it out after shampoo, carefully making it into the style you want, spray it lightly with hair spray, it will stay like that. That is what a permanent is for. Good luck.
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
I have naturally curly hair and as the day goes on my curl seem to fall out, so I starting using Pantene Pro-V scrunching gel it's in a clear tube with pink writing. I've tired a 100 other products but I think this works the best. If I brush my hair, my curl falls out too, so I use a pick when it's wet to comb through it, then I use the gel, and dry it with a diffuser. Good Luck!
How do you get your hair to stay curly/wavy?
hairspray hairspray hairspray
-use it before u curl
-durin wen ur curlin it wit the curlin iron
-after curlin it
How do I make my hair more 'scene', or 'emo' as some of you would put it?
I'm only 13..
I'm not aloud to cut my hair
Or dye my hair.
My hair goes a little past my shoulders, and is thick.
I can do anything with a brush though ;D
I guess I could get it cut.
But I would need a picture of what it would look like, to show the person who cuts my hair.
Right now, I have side bangs.
How do I make my hair more 'scene', or 'emo' as some of you would put it?
Try a "private eye" hairstyle accompanied with a side part, ala Gerard Way.
How do I make my hair more 'scene', or 'emo' as some of you would put it?
just roll out of bed and do absolutely nothing with it....you should look pretty emo then....but just make sure half of you face is covered so that you can only see out of one eye....and if you get it cut just ask for a backwards mullet
How do I make my hair more 'scene', or 'emo' as some of you would put it?
right now my only question is why on earth you would want to look scene.
How do I make my hair more 'scene', or 'emo' as some of you would put it?
Straighten your hair if its not already straight.
Have your top layer trimmed so its short, about 3-4 inches. Have a second layer a few inches blow, and then a long bottom layer. Keep the sidebangs, and blend the side bands into some face frames.
Hair thinning. . .?
My hair has always been soo thin nut not balding thin. It gets stringy instantly and it makes me look like trash until I brush it. Does anybody have any advise on how to geet thick and full hair?
Hair thinning. . .?
Once you start ANY hair growth product you have to continue to use it forever! no joke! Genetic hair loss is common, I have it too. I can only do ONE treatment to my hair, so I color it. Any more then it literally falls out or breaks off.
I wore weaves for years- now just wear it short and wigs at times.
Its healthy hair, just skinny and thin. Sucks I know. But hey- that's life. I had to wear a hat at the beach.
start inside out- eat the right things to encourage growth and get a blood panel done to check your hormones and thyroid.
Hair loss is a symptom of many internal issues.
I wish you the best- I take prenatal vitamins all the time and my hair/nails and skin really appreciate that.
Best wishes babe!
Hair thinning. . .?
Go to Nioxin's website and do a needs assessment. They will tell you which one of their products work best for you. If you don't want to use that product I also would like to suggest Redken. Lots of luck to you. ( Go with the Nioxin!)
Hair thinning. . .?
There is this brand that I used to thicken my hair a little. It really did for a year I used it. I didn't use it anymore but I notice I don't lose that much anymore. It's dark green and it's a serum - Gosh I can't remember what that is! But I also combine the effort with having less stress and relax and exercise more. Good luck!
Hair thinning. . .?
check for shampoos that say volumizing
Hair thinning. . .?
jojoba oil mixed with essence oils of lavender, rosemary, and clary sage. Also massage the scalp daily. And if brave enough, do head stands on a regular basis, (I'm not being scarastic) the reason for this is to increase blood flow, both procedures.
Hair thinning. . .?
Eat more protein, and take vitamins. Try to use quality hair products, try some mouse and blow drying, gently of course, brush from end to top trying not to tug. Stress is horrible on hair also, try to reduce your stress levels and exercise more. Eat more eggs, they are great for the hair, massage the scalp several times a day too for circulation, and maybe see your doc. Certain meds can also thin the hair, are you on any that can do that? I switch hair products weekly also, seems using the same thing week after week makes my hair dull.
Hair thinning. . .?
buy shampoos that have volumizers in them
Hair thinning. . .?
Take Biotin (it's a vitamin). It'll help your hair grow fast!
Knots in the back of my hair.... Constant?
Ok, EVERY SINGLE MORNING i wake up, my hair has knots uinder it in the back. I do brush it EVERY night. Is there something i can do? Or is it just me? I really wanna know! Brushing 24/7 will hurt haha
Knots in the back of my hair.... Constant?
I have the same problem. You know what really helps me is putting my hair up in a ponytail and wrapping it with a silk scarf or handkerchief. Trust me on this.
Knots in the back of my hair.... Constant?
Use silk or satin pillow cases, your hair can slide across with fabric without tangeling into the fabric and creating more tangles in your head. Moisture, we often neglect our hair's moisture needs, use a good leave in (Infusium 23). If long enough you could braid it each night
Knots in the back of my hair.... Constant?
Try using a good moisturizing conditioner in the shower before you go to bed.
Good Luck!
:)
Knots in the back of my hair.... Constant?
i have the same problem because i have thick puffy curly hair and i use a product by Paul Mitchell called SUPER SKINNY SIRUM it is supposed to smooth and condition your hair. i use right after i get out of the shower because my hair is wet if you use it when your hair is dry it will look like you put oil in your hair
Knots in the back of my hair.... Constant?
No one would brush their hair 24 / 7 but a good brushing helps.
If you can find the knot and untangle it that would be great.
Another way is to wet the hair where the knot is and then gently comb or brush your hair. I just read the hairdressers secret for removing knot is baby oil.
What kind of brush do you use for a border collie x?
I need to replace one of my dog's brush, but before I buy a new one, I would like to know what is the best brush to buy for a long haired dog. She is a border collie mix, she has the most beautiful flufy tail and fluffy body as well. Her hair can be seasonnally thick and super long.
Thank you!
What kind of brush do you use for a border collie x?
I have a bordie collie and a mini australian shepherd. I use the same brush on both of them. The brand that I use is called bamboo and I purchased it at PetSmart. Its two sided and it has a small flea comb that is stored on the side. One side has red bristles that are plastic and closely clumped together. The other side has wire bristle with plastic end caps that are more spread apart. I love this brush because its the only one I need. I usually use the wire for the really thick hair on his tail, his back, and the mane he has around his face. I usually brush every other day to keep there hair from clumping together. Check the link below to see the brush.
What kind of brush do you use for a border collie x?
You want to get a coat that will get to her undercoat. Give a groomer call for specific names and brands that will best benefit your collie. You may get a special deal if you order online or straight from a manufacturer.
What kind of brush do you use for a border collie x?
A slicker brush, steel comb and if you really want to get at those really hairy areas ie, bottom, then a de-matting comb, also there is a new comb on the market called the Coat King, it is great for stripping undercoat.
DOG GROOMER.
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
my hair is so frizzy at the ends!!! it's like way past split ends!im a swimmer so does mthat have any thing to do with it?its so hard to brush thru!!!any ideas how to fix that?
and
i've been wearing a part in the same spot of my hair 4 a long time. now it won't go back! y is that and how can i fix it?
and
for the past 2 years i have been wearing my hair in a pony tail, i dont want to as much for this school year. but i hate it alldown! i have very fine and thin hair, and im growing my bangs out any ideas what i can do? send websites with picures on em i u want!
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Your hair is frizzy and tangly and split because you arent taking good care of it. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.. so part with what you can right away, and then cut 1/2 inch a month off until it looks healthy again.
In the mean time:
Buy a clarifying shampoo to keep the chlorine from building up. The first time, put it in and leave it for 10 min.. and rinse.. then use it every time you go swimming.
Buy a good moisturizing conditioner and use it every time you use the clarifying shampoo to add moisture back into your hair.
Buy a good shampoo made for fine thin hair. This will help you maintain your hair.
Buy a good spray on leave in conditioner. They are very light and will keep your hair moisturized. They are also nice because you can spray them into your dry hair to make it easier to comb. Rinse out conditioners are generally too heavy for fine hair.
Are you trying to brush your hair out when it's wet? This is a very bad idea, it will cause it to break even more, as will pulling it up when it is wet. When its wet comb it with a very wide tooth comb after spraying in the conditioner. Wait till its dry to brush.
To fix your part problem, part your hair in a different spot, bobby pin it down, hairspray it, and keep it that way all night while you sleep. Keep moving the part.. this will keep it from wanting to part so strongly in one spot over time.
Have your hairstylist blend in your bangs with very light face framing in the front. Also, fine hair looks better shorter (shoulder length or above). the shorter it is the thicker it looks.
Buy professional products. Store products run the risk of leaving a waxy build up or stripping your hair.. both will worsten your problem over time
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Try neutrogena triple moisture. It repairs damaged hair.
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Hello. I bought maxi glide by maxius(straightening) I also bought beyond straight for humidity and I buy Biosilk(silk therapy)smells great and is great for frizz. Trust me it will work and you'll be so happy.
http://www.maxiusbeauty.com/cart.php.......
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
you have dammaged your hair it seems by chlorine and water all the time, get your hair cut. its hard to change a part, you need to have your hair styled in some way that suits your face and activity level. the hair dresser will have lots of pictures and suggestions. its best to use a professional when your hair is this dammaged, they will also give you clues of what to do to help keep from having so much dammage.
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
you probably have frizzy/split-endish hair because of all the chlorine in the pool. that's a real hair killer haha.
as for the wearing part, i always wear my hair up and i have a crease in the center hahaa. which is unfortunate but use a straightner (which i don't recommend because your hair already seems damaged) or let dry down.
maybe you can layer your hair a little more so it has more dimension? i don't know
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
U need 2 trim ur hair it's damaged..go 2 the hair dressers and get it cut and treated..u should b trimming ur hair ever 6-8 weeks..and u shouldn't have ur hair the same way..u have 2 change it up..u're forehead will start at the back of ur neck by the time ur 60-- so..ya OH YA wear a cap or something when u go into the water...and if u don't..u have 2 wash ur hair immediatley after -
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
for frizz try garnier and for the part when your hair is wet blow dry the part where you want it
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Try getting a hair cut, but just trim it if it is only frizzy on the end.
My sister is a swimmer, and she doesn't have that type of problem. So I don't think it is the chlorine...
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Go to a beautician she would be able to help you how ever u should use oil for ur hairs
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Chlorine is VERY hard on your hair. You need to take care of it! Here's a link that should help you...
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Try Biosilk Silk Therapy you can get it at most hair dressers. as for the part. its going to take some training for your hair to learn to go a different way just keep doing it over and over, it should get the hint after a while.
Swimmer eh? My best advice for keeping your hair away from chlorine is that swimmers hat. As for the frizzy ends, condition and straighten em! That way you can have shiny, straight hair for school this year. It'll be much easier to brush your hair too if it's straight.
hey if u go to the store and use this p it will helpwash your hair with it okay its called miracle its in a box okay its a brown box but any way its called miracle okay it will help while u if u comb it out while your washing your hair
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
Hey-dont freak-first of all cut it way short-not "Boy" short but shorter take like 3 inches off-and dont worry it will grow back b4 school!A stylish new hairdo can do wonders for one's self-esteem. Conversely, a poorly shorn or styled head can make even confident, self-assured people feel sheepish. While it might take Sigmund Freud to explain the reasons for this, these remedies may restore your lovely locks--and perhaps your self-esteem. Bad haircut
Steps:
1. Do not attempt to fix it yourself.
2. Return to the salon or barbershop and demand a new haircut by a different stylist or barber free of charge.
3. Or go to a reputable salon, explain your dilemma and request a remedial haircut.
4. Or consider using a wig, hair extensions or hair additions while you wait for the haircut to grow out.
Bad hair day
Steps:
1. Wet down hair with warm water, add styling mousse or gel, then restyle.
2. If restyling is not an option, cover hair with a hat or scarf.
3. Opt for the slicked-back look if a hat or scarf is unsuitable. Wet hair, add gel or mousse, pull hair into a ponytail. Allow to air-dry.
Bad dye job
Steps:
1. If hair is undercolored because you panicked and rinsed too early, reapply dye and leave on for time required minus time you already had it on.
2. If you chose the wrong color or overcolored your hair, consider using a color-removal product, available at salons and beauty supply stores.
3. Understand that hair-coloring professionals recommend visiting a reputable salon that specializes in hair coloring to correct bad dye jobs.
Botched perm
Steps:
1. If your home perm did not take, wait three days before you visit a salon to have a professional stylist perm your hair.
2. If the perm is overdone, apply a deep conditioner to hair from scalp to the ends. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse and set hair in large curlers. If that doesn't fix it, have a professional stylist relax your overpermed hair.
Chlorine-green hair
Steps:
1. Use a hair product designed to remove green from hair, available at salons, beauty supply stores and drugstores.
2. For swimming, apply leave-in conditioner to hair and wear a swim cap to prevent further greening.
3. Shampoo and rinse hair immediately after swimming.
4. Monitor and reduce copper levels in pool water, which cause greening.
5. If hair is dyed or permed and turns green, visit a reputable salon to have it corrected.
Dandruff
Steps:
1. Wash hair with an over-the-counter shampoo designed to fight dandruff. Switch brands if shampoo becomes ineffective after several weeks of use.
2. Consult a dermatologist in extreme cases.
Gum in hair
Steps:
1. Rub peanut butter into hair and around gum and slowly work gum out of hair. Oil counters gum's stickiness. Shampoo thoroughly afterward. Mayonnaise and butter also work, but not as well as peanut butter.
Hair loss
Steps:
1. Understand that there is little one can do to prevent hair loss if it's hereditary.
2. Use hair products for sensitive hair to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.
3. Visit a dermatologist to learn about cosmetic options, including toupees, weaves and transplants.
4. Remember that stress, lack of protein, medication, hormones, pregnancy, disease and poor hair hygiene contribute to hair loss.
5. Be wary of products claiming to stop hair loss; results vary widely.
6. Sudden, smooth, round bald spots on scalp or beard are called alopecia areata. Wait for them to disappear (usually 6 to 12 months) or visit a dermatologist for treatment.
Head lice
Steps:
1. Cover your work area with towels to prevent contamination of upholstery or carpets.
2. Working under bright light, partition hair into sections and comb through hair with a fine-tooth comb (ideally a lice comb, available at drugstores). Remove lice (reddish-brown) and nits (white or clear) as you comb. Use mayonnaise to smother lice and nits while you comb. Repeat combings for two weeks.
3. Boil the comb after you use it to sanitize it for future use.
4. Wash towels, sheets, pillowcases, hats and other contaminated clothing in the washer with hot water. Use a hot setting to dry the items in the dryer. Vacuum contaminated fabric, upholstery or carpeting.
5. Use an anti-lice shampoo if you prefer, but remember that these products contain pesticides. Consult your doctor before using anti-lice products if you are pregnant, allergic or have pre-existing medical conditions. Avoid treatments containing lindane, which has caused neurological damage in children.
No blonde and chlorine by eHow Friend
My hair is blonde, and I got a perm done at my house. When I went in the pool too often, the chlorine turned it green. I had to go to the salon and have it bleached and colored again. It cost almost $125. So, never do this.
Thanks. Your vote has been counted.Rate this tip:
Experience hair dresser by eHow Friend
I had long, beautiful, red hair with split ends. So when I went to get my hair cut, I decided I was bored with the long hair so I decided I wanted chunky layers. Well I decided to go to a regular hair cut joint, not my usual trusted salon; big mistake.
There was a new hair dresser there and I tried to explain what I wanted the layers to look like (long and lovely). She said, "Oh, I understand." She didn't.
She took the scissors and literally gave me a bowl cut all the way around. When I looked I was secretly crying inside thinking "What did she do?!" I didn't say anything until I got home and started cursing, looking in the mirror, at my awful hack job.
Now, it's been slightly fixed by my regular salon, who noticed the awful and unevenness.
So, my tip is: don't settle for a cheap hair dresser at last minute, find an experienced one who knows what he/she is doing. And make sure you explain the style you want through pictures and description. Be clear and precise with your explanation of style! Best of luck with your hair.
Split Ends: Ways To Take Back Control of Your Hair
All the conditioner in the world won't get rid of split ends. So what will help?
When the ends of your hair begin to look like hundreds of miniature tuning forks-each strand split in two-chances are it has been damaged by exposure to the sun, the cold, dry temperatures, hair coloring, chemical relaxers, or permanent waves.
If you have split ends, your first inclination may be to pile on the conditioner. But that's a waste of time.
All the conditioner in the world won't get rid of split ends, says Amy Everett, stylist at the Joseph Michael Salon in Chicago. The best-and only-solution is to get your hair trimmed.
Hair is a lot like a shrub, says hairstylist David Ramon, co-owner of David Gavin Salons in New York City. If you don't keep cutting it, it splits, and the essential proteins and acids leach out. Cutting it regularly seals the hair shaft, and the hair grows thicker.
The moral of the story: Get your hair trimmed 1/2 to 1 inch every 6 weeks, whether it looks like it needs it or not, says Ramon.
If you hair tends to split easily, try these end-saving strategies.
Don't roughly towel-dry your hair after swimming or shampooing. Friction can cause ends to split. Instead, wrap a towel around your head and leave it there for a few minutes to absorb the moisture.
Wait till your hair is mostly dry before you brush or curl it. Hair is most susceptible to damage when it's wet.
Undo your ponytail. If you usually wear your hair tied back or in a ponytail, leave it down a few hours a day to take strain off your hair. And never sleep with any type of hair accessories, like clips or rollers.
Try an egg shampoo. Rub an egg yolk into your hair, let it coagulate, then rinse it out and shampoo. Protein in the yolk helps your hair, which is also a protein, says Ramon.
Revitalize your hair with vitamins. Taking 1,000 micrograms of biotin (a B vitamin) three times a day for at least 4 to 5 months can promote healthy hair growth, says Diana Bihova, M.D., a dermatologist in New York city and author of Beauty from the Inside Out.
________________________________________
Using any amount of hot air will cause your hair to dry out. Dry weather and blow drying will strip the hair of its moisture. Shampooing frequently and swimming in chlorinated pools will lead to dry hair and split ends. Hair dyes, electric curlers and permanents cause hair to dry out and have split ends.
To avoid split ends, follow the following tips and keep your hair glossy:
閳?Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.
閳?Spray the beer: If you do not get any respite from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.
閳?Shampoo minimally: Though it has become fashionable to shampoo daily, it is not advisable to do so. Shampoo strips the hair of its natural oils and thus gives it a dry, limp appearance. Alternatively, choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.
閳?Condition your hair: Dry hair can be benefited greatly by the use of conditioners after shampooing. The outer layers of the hair or cuticles peel away the shaft, resulting in split ends. Conditioner glues these cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.
閳?Avoid heat: Heat appliances like blow-dryers, electric irons and curlers damage the hair. Instead of blow-drying the hair, you can pat dry with a towel. Replace electric curlers with unheated plastic rollers that were used in a bygone era. Straighten the hair by wrapping the slightly damp hair around the cold rollers and leave them on for about ten minutes. To curl the hair or to give them a wavy appearance, use sponge rollers overnight or sleep with moist braids.
閳?Cover your head: Wearing a hat during windy days is the safest way to protect the hair from drying out. This way, you will also protect your hair from drying out by the sun.
閳?Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so, try cutting off the split ends to keep them under control.
Well, the first recommendation I have is to be sure that you are using the gentlest shampoo possible since you wash your hair more often than normal and to be sure you aren閳ユ獩 washing the hair more often than necessary. Even after swimming in chlorinated pools, you should be able to simply rinse the hair with (non-pool) water and apply conditioner to help restore the pH balance to the hair. Remember, that unless your hair is very oily, or you tend to expose your hair to soils and contaminants on a daily basis, you don閳ユ獩 have to shampoo every day. You should, however, condition the hair daily, and in your case, after swimming. Virtually any of the hair conditioning products in your local market will work, look for products that specify moisturizing ingredients and/or fruit acids and oils. These are great for restoring the hair閳ユ獨 pH balance.
I also recommend that you use a swimming cap if you don閳ユ獩 already. If you do, then try using petroleum jelly in a thin layer along the edges of the cap, to help make a more waterproof seal. You may also want to consider applying conditioner to your hair before putting it up under the cap. This will help protect the hair from the chlorinated water should any get beneath your cap.
Using these tips should help resolve the likely sources of the problem. Now, in order to treat the hair as it currently is: Take the conditioner you selected for your regular use and apply it to damp hair, comb it through the hair and cover the hair with a plastic cap and heat it using hot towels or a hair dryer for 20 minutes. The heat will allow the conditioner to penetrate more deeply into the hair and will help restore the hair to a more healthy-looking state.
The best way to treat the split ends is to have your hair trimmed. Be sure to explain to the stylist that you only want the split ends removed, so as to avoid having your hair cut shorter than necessary. Ask the stylist to show you how much hair he/she feels will have to be removed before any cutting is done. You can use anti-frizz serums to help hold the ends together, but I閳ユ獡 afraid that nothing will truly 閳ユ笧epair閳?the split ends, and you risk having them worsen if you don閳ユ獩 trim them.
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
first, go to the salon and have all the damaged hair cut off... and after that, every time you go to the pool, first saturate your hair with water, then add a hair serum (focusing on the ends) and then put on your swimming cap (if you wear one)... this will help prevent further damage..
when growing out your bangs, a layered and angled look will help blend that in..
http://www.womensbeautylife.com/gallery/...
with this hairstyle you can either add a little gel or hairspray and scrunch it up for a messy look or straighten it...
hope this helps!
Hair questions!?!?!?!?!?!?
When hair becomes dry or damaged, the hair shaft splits at the end. Here's how you can keep those unsightly splits from spoiling the looks of your locks.
Steps:
1. Keep brushing to a minimum since it promotes breakage. Brushing wet hair is a definite no-no; use a wide-toothed comb when hair is wet.
2. Strive for low-maintenance hair. Hair dryers, curling irons, perms and hair colors all damage hair. If you must blow-dry, use a cool setting and keep the dryer 6 inches (15 cm) from your hair.
3. Protect your hair from extreme weather. Wear a hat on sunny days and keep hair well moisturized in the dry winter months.
4. Apply a leave-in conditioner or pomade to the ends of your hair daily to keep them strong.
5. Snip away any split ends you spot. Cut at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the split. A split end will split the hair all the way up to the scalp, so snip it as soon as you spot it.
6. Schedule a trim with your hairstylist if you start seeing a lot of split ends.
Overall Tips:
Ask your stylist to recommend thermal protection products.
Overall Warnings:
Be wary of promises from the makers of products for split ends. These bind the hair shaft temporarily. The only real cure is a haircut.
Prevention of split ends by DENISE K.
Once your hair has grown out of the skin, it is like the free edge of your nails - dead! You can prevent the look of split ends with hair products, but once they are there, the only way to get save your hair is to cut them off. Do not follow the brush when dry, and comb when wet rule.
