Go to any store that sells vitamins, and get Vitamin E, and/or Fish Oil. That helps a lot. Take it easy on the dye and don't wash it everyday. You can also try mayo or beer, sounds and feels disgusting, but the stuff is good for your hair.

My hair does not seem to grow??

It seems weird but some peoples hair only grows to a certain length. I've wanted really long hair all my life (i'm 39) But no matter what it will only grow about half way down my back.

You should wash your hair more than every 2 weeks. That's kind of gross. Maybe go every 4 days or every 5 days since you said that your hair gets so greasy. Try a clarifying shampoo to get any extra build up out..

Relaxing your hair kills it as does dying. So although you are taking "good" care of it you are killing the ends more by putting those chemicals on it. Try taking a vitamin supplement like Hair, Skin and Nails, and trim your ends every 4 to 6 weeks (I go 5 on mine).

Hope this helps. Once I stopped dying my hair (almost a year and my natural color is better than any color I ever dyed it) my hair started growing. It's grown almost 4 inches this year (which is a lot for me)...

Start taking a womans multi-vitamin you may be deficient in some vitamins...especially if your nails grow equally slow and thin...there is also a shampoo that will promote hair growth...but i can't think of the name...sorry

Go to your local GNC or High Health vitamin store. My girlfriend says they have vitamins that really encourage hair growth. Be careful to keep split ends trimmed. They slow growth. You shouldn't wash your hair every day, but you should wash it every 2 - 3 days. Messaging the scalp while washing helps with both growth and the condition of your scalp. Apply conditioners only to the ends of your hair. This keeps your ends healthy with out weighing down the rest of your hair and is recommended by professionals. Comb wet hair with a wide tooth comb, and gently work tangles out by working the out from the bottom and slowly going higher. You'll have hair like Rapunzel with a little time and patience.

Relaxing and coloring the hair might be causing it to break off a bit each time you do it. They should only be retouching the regrowth, but if any of it is being pulled thru the ends it could cause breakage.

You can condition it every week...just put the conditioner on the ends of the hair. Keeping the conditioner off the scalp won't cause it to get any greasier than it normally is.

Do you use a flat iron on a regular basis? This will also cause breakage.

I agree, don't wash your hair every day...it dries it out. But you should probably wash it more often than every two weeks. Like every other day, or every three days maybe. Or you could do something like having certain days of the week when you wash it, like Sunday and Wednesday (just to make it easier to keep track). Also, try not to use any heat on it (blow drier, curling iron, straightner). Heat and using really hot water to wash it damages hair. And getting it trimmed (even just a little) regularly keeps it healthy too.

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

You need to wash your hair every couple of days for sure. And use a good shampoo and conditioner. Sounds like you don't need to deep condition it so much if it's greasy..
