I have grown very frustrated with my hair lately.
I have shoulder-length, poofy frizzy "curly" hair.
I also have long bangs, that I straighten every morning and brush half to each side of my face. I'm sick of my hair always looking so bad and always looking the same.
Right now, I'm about to take a shower. Is there any immediate tips anyone can give me about styling my hair and keeping it looking okay without buying some product or spending hours on it?
Also, I plan to go to sleep with my hair still wet. Any suggestions?

I know you stated no products. but the truth is you do need them to tame your hair. My youngest daughter has the same problem. I decided to buy her Pink Oil Lotion with Moisturizer. It works wonders on her hair. It gives her a nice look her curls stay bouncy yet still looking wet.. try it!

if you sleep on it wet every night them that could be your problem. If you enjoy taking showers at night, try just washing your hair in the morning...i lean over the edge of the tub and use the detachable shower head and some shampoo. This way you can put it up by styling it while it's still wet which might allow you to slick back or tame down some of the poofiness when you brush it back into a ponytail. Or, you could try a straightner in the morning to wear it down.

I would cornroll the front and either leave the back loose or put it in a ponytail or clip it up . Or you can do the sam ebut twisting the front .Also sleeping with wet hair may be a huge cause to this problem . That would defintly be a different cute look.

Well, I have a steam straightener. Those things really work! You might also want to try some anti-frizz products. A lot of companies make them. Just browse for yourself or ask an employee. Good luck!

NEVER sleep with your hair wet!!! in the morning it gets all tangled, you get dandruff and an itchy scalp. I know u don't want to go buy products but INFUSIUM 23 is the BEST. i use the leave in treatment in either original or frizz control. It helps to put your hair in a ponytail before going to bed if u want 2 sleep with it wet.

try pinning your hair in small circles to your head with a bobby pin or two then sleeping on it and see if that works better for you! i have a friend that does that and she likes it because she gets to keep her curls that she likes and doesnt have to spend alot on different products

my mom is a hair dresser and i sorta have the same problem
put your hair in 2 french braids so it wont be as frizzy i also would suggest going 2 ur nearest hair place and buy the shampoo and condisiner JOICO its a good brand :) works for me. and i would blow dry your haif before you go to sleep because it gets fuzzie when you sleep on it

Yeah, DO NOT go to bed with your hair wet. Try a straightner that you can use when your hair is wet and then your hair might be a little straighter. And when you style your hair, use gel.

I used to go to bed with my hair wet.DON'T DO IT!!That is a bad thing to do.Either blow dry your hair or give yourself enough time to let it air dry. That is part of your hair issues. Also, I know you said without having to buy anything, but you probably need to change shampoos.I'm going to switch to one that prevents hair damage from straightening it.Also 1 more thing,if you have a straightener that you can use right when your hair is wet, don't use it.My friend told me her cousins used it, and it does not work well.
Good Luck!
